Tabou Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Basically, my Dad is 50 tomorrow. I have no idea on presents. I can't even begin to start to think. On top of that, I only have tomorrow morning to get a present. Please somebody think of something wicked and cool.
Tabou Posted 23 October 2009 Author Posted 23 October 2009 One of those race track day gift thingys? I thought that, maybe one of the more unusual ones?! A flying lesson?
Babylon Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 How about a book? Thracians "Little Book of Management" or maybe El Emptys "101 Fairy Tales".
Flynny Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 A huge cake with 50 candles dripping wax everywhere and burning everyone's retinas.
StanSP Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 How about a book?Thracians "Little Book of Management" or maybe El Emptys "101 Fairy Tales". Couldn't help but at that. Does he like driving? Maybe a day out in a sports car etc...like getting to drive it round a race-track.
samlcfc Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 I thought that, maybe one of the more unusual ones?! A flying lesson? My mate got a flying lesson for his birthday and said it was really good. When your up and flying they let you take the controls and fly around which i dint thin they would on a first lesson, so that could be a good idea if hes into it

He has his own quick car that I'm pretty sure he endangers himself in on a daily basis anyway. I want something cool, like a cool present that no one has thought of (apart from someone on here) that I can take all the credit for...

How about a go in a glider, there is a gliding centre at Husbands Bosworth near Market Harborough.
Tabou Posted 23 October 2009 Author Posted 23 October 2009 A pearl necklace. Not sure how things work in your family, and what your social norms are, but we are rather more traditional.
Tabou Posted 23 October 2009 Author Posted 23 October 2009 Couple of virgins and a gram of charlie? You can get me this for my birthday.... How about a go in a glider, there is a gliding centre at Husbands Bosworth near Market Harborough. That's a cool idea....but people die in them all the time, don't they? I am quite fond of my dad.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Couple of away tickets for the reading or QPR games

BoneDog Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 How about a book?Thracians "Little Book of Management" or maybe El Emptys "101 Fairy Tales". It's not out yet.
Tilley Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 It's my mum's 40th on Monday and I've got her a CD and stuff but I'm making her a framed collage of baby pictures, pictures with her late father etc, she should appreciate it.

You're more likely to die in an aeroplane.... gliders glide without an engine, planes fall from the sky without one. My boss is an instructor there and he hasn't died yet.

I rememeber him saying he had a flying lesson years ago and loved it, could be cool. Whatever I get it needs to beat aftershave, a dvd and wine, as that's what he gets every birthday, Christmas (Apologies for religious reference... ) AND Fathers day.
Babylon Posted 23 October 2009 Posted 23 October 2009 Good thing or Bad thing? No comment!!!!! http://www.theglidingcentre.co.uk/content/view/15/12/
