West Bromwich Albion Post Match Thread

1. I find it quite amusing that you are crying because Carson & Olsson gave your fans a bit of stick after the game, you all deemed it okay to give Mattock stick all game from the stands and pretty much vent any old crap at him, yet two players celebrate shoving it right up your noses and suddenly it's crime of the century. Grow up or if you can't take it, don't dish it out. People around the tunnel also gave Carson stick yet seemingly he's not allowed to give it back.

2. The silence was a misunderstanding, it's the only time i've ever known one start without a whistle and it was very difficult to hear the tannoy from where i was sat at that time.

3. The tributes leading up to the last post were absoloutly wonderful and your club deserves alot of credit for really pushing the boat out. The old boy who came past us and gave a real proud salute with his chest full of medals is the sort of bloke who made this country what it is today. A real tear jerker.

4. The Walkers Stadium is one of the best new stadiums i've visited in terms of atmosphere, location, catering etc. You actually know you at the ground of Leicester City, whereas at the Ricoh you could be anywhere (including the moon, which has more atmosphere).

5. Thank you for Joey Mattock and thank you for giving him some stick (although i've seen hotter receptions at Christenings). It really made him stand up and be counted - he's slowly finding his feet and is going to become a very good player.

I agree in most parts, especially the first bit. Not on as high a scale as the Adebayor incident, but I said at the time, The Arsenal fans were prepared to give him stick, he scored and gave them some stick back, and they were the first to moan. It's a two way street in football, and if fans can't handle stick, don't give it out.

The Walkers isn't really that great from a home fans point of view, but It's good you think that. Mattock will probably turn out a cracking player, but after what he said when he left our club, (HIS club too, the club that made him the player he is today, which he seemed to forget when he said those numpty-ish things) the stick in my eyes was fair enough. Your fans would do exactly the same if it was the other way round. His stupid actions of the pitch just gave everyone a little bit more juice, but fair play to him, he didn't let it affect him and played a better game for you then he ever did for us!

You really are pompous , If you think Leicester were not trying then you really should not post on here. We are in a play off position with a third of the season gone and have played all the top sides along the way, yesterday we were beaten by a better side in the baggies and I think they will be champions by a mile come May.

What is all this Tigers rubbish about pulling on the shirt of course they get stuck in its just a mass brawl that what rugby unon is.

Your brain matches your lack of grammar. Learn your own language sonny.

I thought Carson and Olsson over stepped the mark. The likes of Windass have been here previously and took it in the right manner. In fact, I remember Fon Williams (great back=up keeper we could get cheaply) at Stocky last season having some idiot call him all the names under the sun and then at the end, he shaked some old fellas hand and clapped a section of our support. Basically I give stick out, players give the odd bit out and we both get away with it. If I run in front of the West Brom support, like'd we won the league, I'd get arrested whilst Olsson and Carson get naff all.

West Brom were good but I was rather disappointed with their sportsmanships antics. They have came to the Walkers on repeat occasions season after season and been a great side to watch but I expect nothing more off Di Matteo, we seen it at MK last season and it went tits up on them.

As for us good in phases but couldn't hit the net. Gallacher's miss was poor. Backing off wise, I feel it's difficult to criticise Brown and Hobbs, never of them are blessed with speed, so have to wait until the appropriate moment before putting a tackle in. The criticism goes towards the midfielder's inability to mark and track players. Oakley's tackle was rash and little point in doing it as Thomas was running into a blind alley with Brown and Neilson approaching.

One thing I had to question about Carson was the stick getting to him so badly. It made me realise why he has fallen off the England radar when, for all intents and purposes he was a very good talent. A shame really, but as a proffessional footballer you shouldn't let a bit of stick get to you so badly esspecially when there is no previous form between us and him.

Must say Mattock looked a little fitter and stronger on Saturday but again I feel we did not exploit him enough. Playing N'Guessan or Waghorn on him would have tested him alot more than Oakley or Gallagher who really have no pace.

I must say though you have some very good players and at parts, particularly in the first half played us off the park.

Mattock was better because he kept it simple. No daft attempted seventy yard hoofs like seen down here. We didn't test him either. That said, how many times did he mis-control it etc.

Will people stop fooking crying about the singing during the minutes silence? People sulking about how it was a massive sign of disrespect and anybody who sang should be banned for like etc. etc.

It was misunderstanding. In a typical Leicester City Football Club manner, it wasn't organised properly, simple as that.

People thought it had finished when the chanting began, as soon as they realised it was to begin straight after the last post, they stopped. Wasn't intentionally disrespectful in any way.

Ass Bandits.

Read my post buddy. The disrespect wasn't just the misunderstanding, it was the stupidity of the chant itself.

I really worry about that right hand side personally. Neilson hasn't inspired me with confidence in any games so far. Other than that, it was a newly promoted league one side facing a newly relegated prem side that finished 2-1. Anyone reaching for the panic button needs to get their heads checked.

Yeah i'm one of 'em scumbags that does chanting.

I wasn't chanting like a 'brain dead chanting scumbag, with a brain contained within my ass' for that particular chant but I don't condone it. Had there been a chant that accommodates for the words 'Great Britain' or 'United Kingdom', i'm sure they would of sung that. It wasn't sung in a manner to say 'we are separate from the other 3 countries'.

People start chanting after virtually every minute silents, making noise and getting behind there team. As it happened somebody decided to chant something patriotic and decided on 'England'. People joined in. People realised the minutes silence hadn't finished. People stopped singing. If it was a lack of respect, they wouldn't of suddenly stopped singing. Moron.

Mcgivern isnt the most confidence inspiring, but hes young. Nielsen is getting better (still work in progress though).

As for the WBA fans, yeah its a minutes silence, and thats what it should be. But they were only chanting 'England' which isnt so bad. As for people shouting 'shut the f**k up' it only makes them worse.

The way I saw that bucktooth pri*k (carson) and that other players celebration was 'yes, we've just beaten one of our rivals' so if they see up as a rival to them, thats good. Somthing should be done though (re: tyson, f.a set a president with that, so they should keep it up).
