Levein was learning and didn't know the leagues well enough. His dependence of buying Scottish players cost him and the few lads he did buy from the lower leagues and further afield (ala Gerrbrand) were good enough IMO (look at the players - they are all in this division now bar Hammond). He was the wrong bloke at the wrong time simply, he had a difficult job to get rid of the crap but then replaced it with crap.

Craig Levein was part of the Leicester slump not by some unlucky strike, it was because he was shit!

Fair play to the guy for doing well in Scotland but the guy stamped no authority here apart from on the pool table down the Griffin in Loughborough and that was only until he'd had too many.
