Fosse Boy Posted 22 November 2009 Posted 22 November 2009 What's the difference of coming out to the "tacky" version against Leeds or say Plymouth then? Not much really, I've cringed whenever we've run out to it. But that game in particular was between the two biggest clubs in that division by a stretch, would've been a bit tinpot to come out to the tacky version.
caz123 Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 The gobby cow who sits to the left of me,who shouts at every player calling them fat lazy bastards, her mouths louder than the goal music, one day i swear i will put my programme down her throat (i am a nice person honest)
Guest Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 The vacuous bints who sit behnd me talking non-stop for the whole match about anything other than the football. X-Factor, Strictly, their love lives, Car MOTs all 'highlights' of the Plymouth match And then they throw the odd expletive filled critique of a bad pass like they've been giving the match their full attention. Now I know football is a social event but for fucking hell's sake, would it not be cheaper and less annoying to meet up for a coffee or pop round each other's houses to talk about all this shit?!? I'm moving my ST seats for the next match
Durnerz Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Simply glad I very rarely frequent the Walkers these days. My passion lies abroad watching teams who's fans party like its their cup final no matter what the fixture. For me its all about the buzz and although Leicester will always hold a place in my heart the Walkers just doesn't do it for me these days and the ramblings in this thread could be re-traced over the course of the last 6-7 years as to how the fans felt after leaving our spiritual home.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Having to show my season tickets 4 times to stewards in L1 before I've even got into my seat and then again in the 2nd half when the stewards came down my row checking everyones tickets again. That wouldn't be row DD by any chance would it? I broke the zip on my coat trying to get my season ticket out, in the end he said don't worry about it. I mean, thanks mate!!
Asha Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 That wouldn't be row DD by any chance would it? I broke the zip on my coat trying to get my season ticket out, in the end he said don't worry about it. I mean, thanks mate!! Yeah, definitely was the rows around that. I'm on EE and had to prove the seat I was standing by was actually mine and all.
lou Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Why do I have to be the paedo? Why can't I be the Nazi? Oh go on then Who's gonna be the Paedo now then?
Webbo Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Yeah, definitely was the rows around that. I'm on EE and had to prove the seat I was standing by was actually mine and all. I'm in EE too.

I thought they were doing that more now because people started moving at half time from the section next to L1, and nicking seats in that bit. I thought that was one of the reasons why Lisa moved a little bit further down this season

Stewards checked my ticket outside the turnstile, at the bottom of the stairs, at the top of the stairs and half way up the stand. And then as I said while I'm actually standing by my seat.

I dont have the ability to Morph into someone else halfway up the stairs!

Kilworthfox Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 There are a number of things that piss me off about the game.- Right, the first one, read the whole of this one before slamming me. I like the Post Horn Gallop at the start, except the last bit at the end where the instrument just goes in a complete spaz, its all good and traditional but that last bit sort of ruins it. - Keeping on the post horn gallop, scrap that Americanised, cringeworthy tune we come out to in the 2nd half. It is absolutely embarrassing, if I was an away fan and I heard that I'd think dear god. Its played so loud as well, I can't talk to anyone. - Our fans sitting down at away games, I don't mind if there are a small few who want to, but so many of us want to stand up all game and create a top atmosphere, sitting away fans always makes me think that the away supports nothing special, almost automatically. The thing is, why is it that Sheffield Wednesday, a team who are probably worse supported than us, take loads everywhere and always stand? Its not exactly a physical incapability unless you are old, small and young, or in a wheelchair. - Remember that cringeworthy message they used to play before a game, "Football is a family sport", thank fuck they got rid of that. - The fact our scoreboards can't be seen if its sunny. - The fact our atmosphere is absolute rubbish, I think there are a few reasons for this. One of them being that the Kop is too big for a whole singing section, sorry but all the families are getting in there, it really aggrevates me that people don't sit where they should do, it just completely kills the atmosphere, in my opinion there is easily 7,000 singers at the club, so why aren't they all in L1 or the Kop? Because they've been beaten there but people that should go in another stand. - How any idiot can leave when we have a corner in the last minute at 0-0 is beyond me, probably want to get home for the Man Utd game, aggrevates me. - The goal music, Fire is a song that I like, but it has got to be one of the most uncelebratory songs ever played for goal music. I'd just scrap goal music completely and let the fans do it. - I also think the lack of songs and proper club anthem is a major downfall to us, I've not got a problem with Jobber and his drum, but I swear we've only got 3 songs with it, one being clap clap, clap clap clap, clap clap clap clap, Leicester. Ring of fire, and Carnival De Paris (which is quality). Its a shame really. Sorry I'm a right miserable bugger ain't I Well that saved me writing exactly what I think
Shrenchel Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Yeah not being able to jib it into L1 at half-time anymore is pretty annoying and consequently the complete planks that surround you if sit anywhere else. Need to stop forgetting how gash home games are and accidentally going.
Dan Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Well that saved me writing exactly what I think No problem, I could probably think of even more on a Saturday night. (Btw, I have changed my username, it is the same person.)
Daggers Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 That wouldn't be row DD by any chance would it? I broke the zip on my coat trying to get my season ticket out, in the end he said don't worry about it. I mean, thanks mate!! To be fair, that sounds a very old or shoddily made coat and the zip could have broken, say, when buying a jazz mag and 20 B&H at the corner shop?
z-layrex Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 People who are rude to me over how I dress. I just wanna see city play
Guest Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 People who are rude to me over how I dress. I just wanna see city play Who has a go at someone about what they're wearing? (You're not dressed as the Topps Tile are you, thereby annoying people sitting directly next to and probably behind you?)
Edmund Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 The amount of people that go in and out of my row during the game. Fucking ridiculous. Stand or at least sit still for 45 minutes ffs. My pet hate at games. They all wore shirts over hoodies, make of that what you will. Another thing that annoys me if you're over say....10. how is the way someone dresses annoying? If it were up to me I wouldn't have any music played before the games apart from the PHG. Bring back Republica - Ready To Go I'm sure they use to also throw Status Quo - Rocking All Over The World in the build up.
Father Ted Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 Ticket checking in L1. I haven't seen 'lesbione' for a couple of games now though.
BoneDog Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 People who are rude to me over how I dress. I just wanna see city play Are you that dude who goes dressed all in spandex with a gimp mask on?
The Doctor Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 families in the kop looking at me like i'm hitler (i'm not, i'm just slightly "racist" although that comes from extreme paranoia, which comes from insomnia) if stand and start to sing, even if there is a section of fans standing and singing just down the row from them.FFS the north stands called the marks electrical family stand for a reason (because it belongs to mark and caters exclusively for electrical families ).
Sods Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 The first time he played the bugle against Leeds it sent shivers down my spine. I know I wasn't the only one, and it led to the best atmosphere we've ever had at the Walkers. Yep was a right treat.
AoWW Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 People who are rude to me over how I dress. I just wanna see city play I'm guessing some people find the nurse's uniform distracts them from the game?
