Fox92 Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 0-1 defeat. It's not that I don't think that we are very good, but we never beat Sheffield Wednesday (ok, we won at Hillsborough last time), Nigel hasn't beaten one of his old teams at home yet and the majority of my mates support Sheffield Wednesday. I always feel like this when we play a local team (local as in: local to my home town) - Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Doncaster Rovers, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Wednesday have gone 8 games without a win and 5 without scoring yet I'm still going more in hope than expectation. Have the feeling that the fans will be on the players back early on, the travelling Wednesdayites will adopt a siege mentality and get beyond their boys and the result will be Wednesday playing out of their skins. Hope I'm wrong but I think another defeat beckons. 0-1 Wednesday.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 On current form, neither team will be good enough to win.
Ozwin Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 I'm terrified about this game. If we win, all is forgiven and the fear dissapears, if we lose then it's 3 defeats on the bounce and we could keep on falling down the table. Come January we need to be top half to attract any sort of quality and I fear a loss on Saturday could really bugger up the rest of December.
Webbo Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Tbh I was worried about this fixture while we were still in good form. Sheff Weds always seem to do well here. I'll go for a win but it'll be more in hope than in expectation.
KFS Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Well i'm going to this one. Roughly 4 hours journey, so i'm really hoping for a win. I know Sheffield have been on top form, but looking at what Pearson has been saying, i'm sure we will be fine. Never give up boys! Whose up for a chant on Saturday?!

Aren't they currently bottom of the form table?
Ozwin Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Whose up for a chant on Saturday?! Don't be silly, we don't tolerate your sort at The Walkers.
maddog Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Sheffield Wednesday have lost 6 drawn 2 in their previous 8 games, they are hovering just one goal on goal difference above the relegation zone. Even we should beat these easily despite our disastrous 2 games. On paper it's 3 points, but sadly i think we will only get a draw <_<

Do you call Forest Nottingham, or Manchester United Manchester? Aren't they currently bottom of the form table? We are. No wins in 8 games. No goals in 5.
Edmund Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 I hate that. Do you call Forest Nottingham, or Manchester United Manchester? you're the second yorkshireman we've had on here in recent times complaining about the correct manner of saying a clubs name. We had a Leeds fan complaining about people referring to their 3rd round F.A cup tie as United Vs Leeds. Fairplay though.
tartanowl Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 you're the second yorkshireman we've had on here in recent times complaining about the correct manner of saying a clubs name.We had a Leeds fan complaining about people referring to their 3rd round F.A cup tie as United Vs Leeds. Fairplay though. There are two clubs in Sheffield that it could refer to. And technically I'm not a Yorkshireman. The clue is in the username.
Maybes Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 We won't score. Leicester 2-0 Wednesday. Dont worry we'll pretty much do the hard work for you!! There are two clubs in Sheffield that it could refer to.And technically I'm not a Yorkshireman. The clue is in the username. Jog on you dirty Scot!!
KFS Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Sorry, i didn't know a fan would creep up and slap me. I thought i controversial when i wrote it And yeah, we just need to watch it. Anything can happen when Leicester take to the pitch
davieG Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Foxes boss Nigel Pearson believes his side will have no problems bouncing back from their recent dip in form, believing honesty is the best policy when reflecting on recent results. Nigel said: "Just because we've have a difficult few days, I'm certainly not going to be downbeat or looking at what has gone wrong, because I still believe that players are very competitive in this league" "I still think we're having a very good season. We have to reflect on these incidents honestly, but then you've got to move on because there is no time to feel sorry for yourself. It's about getting back to what we're good at." Before the last two games City's form had been consistent, but Nigel is refusing to dwell on the recent performances which have seen the Foxes concede eight goals. Nigel added: "I think it would be wrong for me to make to bigger deal out of it. You can't turn back the clock; it's as simple as that. "We've been beaten twice in the last week and it's possibly a new feeling for some players" "It's something we're not going to dwell upon because we've got a very important game coming up and it's another opportunity to get three points. We want to get back to winning ways."
The Doctor Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 We won't score. Leicester 2-0 Wednesday. loving the positivity If we start well this could be the demolition job needed to cure this last bad week however thats unlikely so i'll say 1-0 to city.
tartanowl Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Dont worry we'll pretty much do the hard work for you!! Jog on you dirty Scot!! I hope so. We need all the help we can get. And I was expecting Jock. Sorry, i didn't know a fan would creep up and slap me. I thought i controversial when i wrote it And yeah, we just need to watch it. Anything can happen when Leicester take to the pitch It's a minor irritance. Just call us Wednesday. We don't like to be in the same bracket as the Blunts. loving the positivity If we start well this could be the demolition job needed to cure this last bad week however thats unlikely so i'll say 1-0 to city. I wish I could be positive about my team! There is very little to be positive about at the moment. I'll still be there on Saturday though
