I am interested to see a neutral perspective because obviously I see things through blue and white tinted specs. So Foxes from yesterdays game and in general over to you...

A team that clearly wants to play good football but has lost all confidence to bring about an end product. Laws seems clueless as to how to stop the rot and the players know it, therefore as dandanieldanok says he has lost the dressing room. There are some talented players there but they look either uninterested or massively lacking in self-belief. I'm not usually one to advocate chopping and changing managers, especially with what happened to us in 07-08, but Wednesday look like a team who desperately need a change in personnel. Excellent fans though, and you lot really deserve better.

From what I can see, you've got major problems on the pitch. As soon as the first goal went in, your players' heads dropped and it was pretty much all over. It was a strange game as I didn't think we were that impressive and so to win by a 3 goal margin is more to do with you than us.

Although a lot of your players need to take a look at themselves, I think you need a change in manager. That much is clear as your players need some kind of lift (cheaper to replace the manager than players) as well as someone to really drill them and organise them into a tighter unit. You also need someone with enough connections to bring in some decent loan players, as it's clear you don't have the funds to buy new players.

Hopefully you can get someone good in (I'd take a look at fergie jnr) to stabilise and build because the potential is there. You're a club with good support and despite being saddled with huge debts, shouldn't be down in the relegation zone. I still don't really understand what happened to the decent crop of youngsters you had coming through. They looked like they'd provide a good base from which to build, adding a player or two and pushing on up to be around the play-offs.

I thought you mirrored our performance against Bristol.

It was fairly noticeable by me anyway that virtually every bounce/deflection aided us just like it aided Bristol. Many will say you make your own luck and this is true but when your down and feeling low contact with the ball is different and I guess causes the bad luck.

I thought you tried to play some decent football but it didn't come off, having said that I didn't rate our performance in terms of quality football at all, yes we had the edge once we scored but you had 3 shots on target before we even got into the game, again a bit like us against Bristol.

Best of luck, there's certainly at least 2 teams performing / getting worse results than you and Ipswich who've been poor should inspire you to get up the table it can be done.

Laws has left by mutual consent.

That kinda says it all

you were poor and if you hadn't have got rid of your manager then you would have definately been in the shitter come may.

The wednesday players looked completely uninterested in playing for the shirt, we could and probably should have scored more.

Good luck for the rest of the season (you'll need it judging on yesterday).

On paper you do look like a decent outfit. But the players looked completely uninterested or lacks confidence and self-belief. Apart from an audacious overhead kick, I rarely noticed Marcus Tudgay. I thought Tommy Spurr was a weak link, some diabolical defending on his part yesterday. Same with Darren Purse. A better team than us would have put 5 or 6 past you and give you a real hiding. We won comfortable without ever getting out of first gear.

Laws cleared looked to have lost the dressing room and the players didn't seem to be wanting to play for him. A change was definitely needed and Laws was quite frankly living on borrowed time. He should have been sacked a few weeks ago IMO.

I think a decent manager who gets in a few few loan players in in January and you'll finish mid-table. You already have some decent players in your team - you just need a new outlook, fresh ideas and a few new faces to add to the squad.

We won most headers. We won every fifty-fifty, we were first to most second balls. Even Andy King won a tackle yesterday.

I don't think Wednesday are a worse outfit than Derby or Plymouth. I don't think they will get relegated tbh. But as you said, you cold easily see it was a team low on confidence with absolute zero self-belief and a manager whos days were clearly numbered.

You are not the side that we have seen over the past few years but then again Laws had little money to play with.

I liked Laws, thought he was a good manager.

I do like Marcus Tudgay, he seems to win a lot of balls in the air for a fairly not big person, I'd certainly have him here I think.

The two subs was ridiculas - I thought that they didn't even wanted to go.

Whats happened to Simek, still injured or left?

Dropped. Frankie came back into the side for a bit and although he impressed initially he struggled after a few games. His injury has had a big effect on him. He has definitely lost a yard or two of pace.

I really can't understand why Mandaric didn't appoint him full time after his 5 game stint with us at the end of 06/07. Worthy's a genius compared to Martin Allen.

true. Points per game wise he wasn't as good as allen (NW - 0.4 ppg, Allen 1.333... ppg) but Nigel was by far the better manager.

Worthington would be a good choice for Wednesday. Did a great job at Norwich overall (turned them from strugglers to a Premiership side) and has done okay with Northern Ireland.

I think you're like us really, stuck in a Championship rut, you could do with relegation to League One then come straight back up like we did, that relegation has saved our club thats for sure.

But the problem is theres no guarantee of coming straight back up if you went down, it turned out a MASSIVE blessing in disguise for us though.

Fook knows where we would be, who our manager would be or who would be playing for us now had we not got relegated 2 seasons ago.
