davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Glad I made the last minute decision not to go. Feel for all those on their way, hope they get the message asap.
leftsideoverhere Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Very poor. Wasted journey for the sake of a club too stingy to turn on their undersoil heating. Now we'll have a midweek trip which significantly fewer people will make.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Despite the extensive efforts of Cardiff City's staff, today's Coca-Cola Championship match referee, Michael Oliver has deemed the Cardiff City Stadium's pitch unplayable following the overnight sub-zero conditions.Oliver, made the decision to postpone the fixture following an earlier than scheduled 10.30am pitch inspection. Details of the re-scheduled fixture are to be arranged. LCFC Site
MC Prussian Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 And it was supposed to be sunny in Cardiff today... Is the weather really that bad down there???
davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Cue calls for a mid-season break. Around January
colbo68 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 CCFC Website soft fookers - aint they got undersoil heating!!!

Shrenchel Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Glad I didn't set off. Fvcking tinpot bastards. Unbelievable.
davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Bristol City, Swindon, Exeter are all still on. Not that far away weather wise.
Guest Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Feel sorry for all those that had planned to go or set off already. I couldn't make today cos I'm stuck at work in London so fingers crossed I can make the rearranged fixture now
haraven Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Match arrangers noobs -I thought all professional clubs could more or less handle some snow in 2009, seems I was wrong. Here is how we do it in Norway;
mb2251 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Bristol City, Swindon, Exeter are all still on.Not that far away weather wise. (I'm in Bristol) - I don't think Bristol City have got undersoil heating and it is COLD...my game has been called off (albeit on the local park!) :-D Do you reckon that the rearranged fixture will be a midweeker?
Head Honcho Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Bristol City, Swindon, Exeter are all still on.Not that far away weather wise. I live about 8 miles from the Cardiff ground and it's gorgeous here! I haven't ventured outside yet but they must have a serious problem if weather as mild as this means an abandonment. Oh well Newport County it is then! (I'm in Bristol) - I don't think Bristol City have got undersoil heating and it is COLD...my game has been called off (albeit on the local park!) :-DDo you reckon that the rearranged fixture will be a midweeker? 99.9 % sure of it
Shrenchel Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Bristol City, Swindon, Exeter are all still on.Not that far away weather wise. I was going to point this out. 3 grounds with a combined age of 326 and we can't even get 90 minutes in their shiny, brandspanking new, plastic shithole. Been colder in Bristol than it has in Cardiff as well.
davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Match arrangers noobs -I thought all professional clubs could more or less handle some snow in 2009, seems I was wrong.Here is how we do it in Norway; And how it used to be here.
mb2251 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 99.9 % sure of it I guess the only chance of t being on a Saturday is if City and Cardiff both get knocked out the FA Cup 3rd round?
The Doctor Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 I guess the only chance of t being on a Saturday is if City and Cardiff both get knocked out the FA Cup 3rd round? or 4th/5th. They'll fit it in when they find time. Although there is an international break in march isn't there? Just stick it there, not like many of our players or theirs will make the international squads.
Fox92 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Glad we haven't paid to go to this as the game will now be midweek. A brand new ground and this happens. Oh well.
Head Honcho Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 I guess the only chance of t being on a Saturday is if City and Cardiff both get knocked out the FA Cup 3rd round? It'll probably be re-arranged for before the 3rd round games are played I'd guess. Not sure though you could be right although I doubt they'd arrange ties based on hypotheticals
