Leicester Rule! Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 What a ****ing joke that was. I was on coach 4 and got told that the game was off at about 10:45, when we were in Redditch.Newest ground in the league yet it can't hack a bit of cold weather? Even fooking Newport County is on. Newport County vs Staines ... few fans going there.
Guest ttfn Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 The FA should come down like a sack of shit on Cardiff. This is not good enough in the 21st century
lildave3 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 If i'm honest, i'm not too fussed. I wasn't feeling it today + we hadn't even left the town centre. As long as we get refund/keep our tickets for the rematch then it's fine by me. I like my selfish point of view.
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Cardiff should not be allowed to play in an English League. Neither should Swansea or Wrexham. What a total joke the groundsmen are in Cardiff. Numpties.
Bluefoxtim Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Idiots. Was my birthday yesterday, so this was going to be a great way to round the celebrations off! An absolute joke that it isn't going ahead. Fair enough, games may have to be called off in the lower leagues etc, but in a new multi million pound stadium? Fork off. http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDe...1909539,00.html Cardiff City Football Club would like to apologise to all of our supporters and those of Leicester City for the postponement of today's fixture. Our new stadium is fitted with state of the art undersoil heating. Regrettably the final commissioning to ensure that it was fully operational had not been completed. This is due to take place in the coming week. Pathetic.
Maybes Posted 19 December 2009 Author Posted 19 December 2009 Final commissioning........due to be sorted in the coming week. What a farce. I couldn't care less whether you ****s are going to sort it within the week. Talk about shutting the gate after the horse has bolted!
Dan Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Our new stadium is fitted with state of the art undersoil heating THEN FUCKING USE IT
lavrentis Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Sheeit, If I'd gone would have been pissed off with the travel money.
trugerkem Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 left plymouth got to exeter when told. gutted. dont get to see leicester as often as i want roll on swansea and plymouth away if they are on of course
Granno Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Very Disappointed with Cardiff today. We were at Birmingham/Redditch when it got postponed. They should have either come clean last night about the heating, or done a pitch inspection before most fans left Leicester.
Fox You Forest Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Furthest I've ever been for a fucking Mcdonalds.
lcfcadam Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 I'm now sitting at The Newport Stadium waiting for kick-off. Quite excited actually! Proper club showing how it's done - no crappy frost here!
Edmund Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Any idea of when this will be replayed? Are we going to have to wait weeks or will it be rescheduled for the midweek coming up?
Webbo Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 There's no reason why the undersoil heated couldn't have been used. I'm guessing that it was convenient for both parties to call it off.
lavrentis Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Im hoping LCFC will give refunds but they'll probably give 50% off your next home ticket completely useless to STHs.
jimmer Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 There's no reason why the undersoil heated couldn't have been used. I'm guessing that it was convenient for both parties to call it off. The new under pitch heating system has not been fully finished or had its final commission. You can't run something if its not setup properly. They should however, have seen the weather report and pulled out all the stops to get it finished. They did predict this cold spell didn't they
davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 There's no reason why the undersoil heated couldn't have been used. I'm guessing that it was convenient for both parties to call it off. According to their official statement it hadn't been commissioned so they couldn't, I can't conceive why it would suit either party to postpone it. Cardiff will have spent significant sums on hospitality etc and on trying to make the pitch playable and I wouldn't be surprised if LCFC went down last night . Either way significant time, effort and money would have been put into preparations by both clubs.
lou Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 There's no reason why the undersoil heated couldn't have been used. I'm guessing that it was convenient for both parties to call it off. It wasnt convenient for either party.. costs a lot of money to call games off, 275,000 average for a Prem club so would still be a fair amount for a CCC game. The USH isnt fully commisioned Ian C knows the details I believe... they wouldnt have done this if it avoidable. Fair play to the ground staff who worked all night to get this game on, I know how hard ground staff work to get pitches ready so I feel for them. Anyway........ LIVID! FECKING TOSSERS!!!!!!! (whoever is responsible)

lou Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Any idea of when this will be replayed? Are we going to have to wait weeks or will it be rescheduled for the midweek coming up? Im guessing February another bloody midweek trip to Cardiff ffs
lildave3 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Im guessing February another bloody midweek trip to Cardiff ffs Another? When was the last?
Cobbo Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Another? When was the last? League Cup? Skills Erik

Well we've got a few injury worries and both sides have got a lot of games coming up over the next week or so. It's probably just my cynical side coming out though.
