lou Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Weve had a few over the years as I recall? Had 2 in one season a few years back..... you have to bear in mind I am old!
Karljohn Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Welsh pussies didn't fancy it today, current temperature too cold to have a few hours outside of their caves. Amateurs. On the positive side now its likely to be a midweek job I am heading down to watch us give them a right royal hammering on their own welsh shit heap. Sorry for the lads n lasses who attempted the trip down and more so for those already in Cardiff!
lildave3 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Weve had a few over the years as I recall? Had 2 in one season a few years back..... you have to bear in mind I am old! Fair enough, although that was 4 years ago!
davieG Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Well we've got a few injury worries and both sides have got a lot of games coming up over the next week or so. It's probably just my cynical side coming out though. We could pick up several more injuries before the reschedule and there's always games coming up, what if we draw with Swansea, that'll make it even more difficult. I'm as cynical as they come but I just can't see any benefit in wanting it postponed
Guest Mee-9 Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Is this a picture from today? Makes you wonder what really made the referee call it off... Cardiff fans are also disappointed, as well as highly critical of their own club and how its management deals with issues like this one. They were expecting a "bumper crowd" ©. If there so loaded, and a rich club. How come the Undersoil heating wasn't sorted, but instead they threw a huge green peice of tarpulin, over the pitch, and 'Hoped for the Best'
lou Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Fair enough, although that was 4 years ago! Which is recent when youve been going for 30 years!

How come the Undersoil heating wasn't sorted, but instead they threw a huge green peice of tarpulin, over the pitch, and 'Hoped for the Best' I'm sure their in serious financial trouble at the moment. There was an article knocking about on here recently about a scheme they have set up to entice people to pay for season tickets early to raise funds.

If they fancy raising funds, try selling chopra to us, or Whittingham Not too fussed, Feel for the supporters who were going. But look on the brightside, Bruno was out, Fryatt & Brown were Doubtful, and Waghorns suspended. So we didn't have a full squad. And I wouldn't want to see McGivern being played, as he is as useful as a camel during the winter.
z-layrex Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Why the fook cant they just play in the snow and wet? There are thousands of fooking kids doing it right now.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Why the fook cant they just play in the snow and wet? There are thousands of fooking kids doing it right now. It's not the snow and wet, its the rock hard ice which basically makes the grass feel like concrete. Park football with kids isn't quite the same intensity as professional football, on rock hard icy pitches there's a very real chance of serious injury.

Yeah thats what the gf just said I didnt think of it like that. Still really annoying, was proper looking forward to this all morning.
BoneDog Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Oooooh I'm not happy today. I weren't going but was looking forward to this. It ruined my day when I was making me breakfast and I heard on the radio. Why they would wait til the end of December to get their under-soil heating finished is beyond me. Couldn't they just chuck a few saucepans of boiling water on the pitch? Or get a few hundred people on their knees doing that hot breath thing you do when you steam up a window. Amateurs
BoneDog Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Yeah thats what the gf just said I didnt think of it like that. Still really annoying, was proper looking forward to this all morning. Are you a lessie? Lovely stuff. That's took the edge off the disappointment

tewkesbury-fox Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Not sure if its been posted taking from Cardiff Citys Forum Today's game was postponed simply because the club couldn't afford the £30,000 that was needed to buy equipment to link the boiler to the underground heating system. They knew this at the begining of the week which is why the club borrowed sheeting from CRFC to try to protect the pitch. At the same time Ridsdale and his consultants are 'robbing' the club of some £20 grand a week in wages and fees. The whole thing is criminal. Meanwhile Ridsdale goes on UK radio to tell a whopping lie about some part breaking down. That lie will surely come back to bite him on the arse
samlcfc Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Are you a lessie? Lovely stuff. That's took the edge off the disappointment I thought layrex was a lad
Corky Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Feel for the fans that made the trip, and can't get to the re-arranged date. Must be so frustrating.
Ozwin Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Saturdays without football are like Sunday dinners without gravy.
