rico Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 apparently in the pilot episode of Flashforward there is a billboard for Oceanic Airways and with ratings falling there is a chance that they might use some of the lesser known characters from Lost to boost the next series. as i said, its only a rumour

maddog Posted 7 April 2010 Posted 7 April 2010 Desmond episode, decent. It seems setting the bomb off did work, which is what the other parallel world is we see, although we sort of knew that because Juliet said it worked in the 1st episode. Slightly confusing though.

Benji Posted 10 April 2010 Posted 10 April 2010 I don't know why but after watching the latest episode i let out an almighty scream/woooooooo just the way so much is tying in with earlier stuff, equally confusing and fascinating, little things like the fact that desmond met penny in the same stadium he met jack and said "see you in another life brother" I'll miss this.
purpleronnie Posted 12 April 2010 Posted 12 April 2010 I don't know why but after watching the latest episode i let out an almighty scream/woooooooo just the way so much is tying in with earlier stuff, equally confusing and fascinating, little things like the fact that desmond met penny in the same stadium he met jack and said "see you in another life brother" I'll miss this. Seems love between 2 people can cross through the timelines, and love is pretty much the main theme of the show now. And in the 'alternative timeline' the characters are now wondering if their current lives should be the way they are. Looks like desmond is the 'key' character in the series. I don't know if Charlie thinks he can't actually die (in the alternative reality), hence why he didnt die choking on the drugs, why he walked across the busy road and why he crashed the car into the water or it could be he wants to recreate that feeling he had when he 'almost died' and saw the woman he now loves (Claire). I can't help thinking that when desmond states 'see ya in another life' he means the alternative timeline, maybe in the end the losties will be able to choose the timeline they want whether on the island, before, or the alternative one? But I have to say I think it wont be all tied up nicely at the end I think it may be left open for debate.
maddog Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 This is heating up nicely, would be interesting to watch the earlier seasons 1-3 knowing what we know now, i'm sure there are answers to be found in those seasons somewhere which we may not find in season six. So Desmond in one timeline gets his revenge on Locke by running him over after Locke (aka smoke monster) throws him down the well, brilliant. Be good to watch earlier seasons involving the mental institute also which Hugo was in, because i've forgotten most of that. And the whispers which started in season 1, we now know what they are.
chrisfox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 The difference with Desmond's 'flashbacks' are that he remembers stuff from them. In his episode where he travelled to and from each different world, (when he was trying to find Eloise the first time) it was insinuated he was actually experiencing the events in real time, flitting from one to the other. Remember there was no flashback noise when he 'travelled' same in the last episode. He remembered what he'd seen in the alternate timeline, and when he passed out he flitted back and forth between the worlds. Also about the not dying thing, remember Micheal left the island, then couldn't die, until he'd been told he'd served his purpose! (by Christian/Jack's dad/smoke monster) It is getting good now, but I get the feeling so much will be left unanswered.

BTW did anyone notice the number plates on Desmonds car? missed the numbers on his car? i take it they were THE numbers? i think desmond is trying to get locke to remember and not kill him , i think locke will end up in the hospital with jack next isnt the well that desmond got pushed down the one with the big wheel where ben reset the island?

It's a different one The number plate was 2FAN321 - something to do with FAN being a banned combination in that area of America I think. Jack - Because Kate's already met Sawyer in the new timeline and as far as I can remember they had no recollection of each other. She's not met Jack yet but Jack knows that something isn't quite right (the episode where he sees his scar that kate stitched up in the pilot episode that he then asks his mum about.) so I think when he meets Kate he's gonna start remembering stuff. Still think Sawyer and Juliet are going to go for that coffee!
