Breaking news on Sky sports news is that he will be back in training and will be fighting at light welterweight.

Think he should have retired but looks like he didnt want to go out after a 2nd round stoppage.

Yeh more than likely , SSN were speculation that he needed more funds for his Boxing Promotions buisness

Used to be a big fan of him, was one of my favourite boxers but think he should retire and stay retired.

Id echo this too

Doesnt excite me 1 bit, but itll be interesting to see what he does and who he fights, can also understand why he wont have wanted to go out of the sport on such an embarrassing loss.

But if it's Amir Khan you'll be wanking?

I think that would be a good fight, In my head Hatton would batter him but in reality and what's happened in his last few fights it will be alot harder. Doubt it would happen tbh, Hatton was saying on SSN he wouldn't rule out a fight with Khan but wouldn't be keen as Khan is a friend and he would rather fight other people, but he wouldn't refuse to rule it out.

As much of a fan i have been of Hatton in the past i couldnt see him beat Khan. Khans speed would be too much for the Hitman.

Torn.

In some ways I think he should retire, but i other, selfish, ways I want him to carry on. I love Hatton fights and everything that comes with them (except the £15 Box Office fee, obviously)

Does anyone know what kind of money he'll make for another fight?

He must be loaded but I suppose another few million always helps and is very tempting no matter how much you already have in the bank.

I hope he fights Junior Witter! Been waiting for that for years cos they don't like eachother but it won't happen. Khan would be my next favourite fight but can't see that happening either.

Rick Broadbent from The Times sums it up perfectly..

7) RICKY HATTON (down but not out)

There was an air of utter predictability when Hatton announced he was coming out of retirement for one last fight. We at Sports Watch have long liked Hatton, partly for his boxing but mainly for Sh*t Shirt Day, his habit of celebrating victories by wearing bad clothes for a knees-up down the pub. And the yellow Reliant Robin bought from the set of Only Fools and Horses. And for saying he would like Bob Hoskins — a short, balding, middle-aged grumpy — to play him if a film gets made about his life. Hatton's weight has ballooned and he looks less like Manny Pacquiao and more like Peter Kay in drag these days. It was great while it lasted but it's over. A comeback would be like a benefit gig. And not for him.
