maddog Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 He was only given a year, it was a punt just like the Verma signing. I fancy a punt. I will offer you the full £52,000 Asrit, for 1 year of your services. Would he be on a grand a week you rekon
Hitesh Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 This lad is now having a trial at Brighton and Hove... Albion are giving a trial to midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic from Leicester. The 19-year-old has been named in a strong reserve side to face QPR at Lancing tomorrow (7pm). Ajdarevic was born in Serbia and Montenegro but moved to Sweden with his family from the age of two. He won the FA Youth Cup with Liverpool in 2007 before joining Leicester permanently last summer following a loan spell. Reserves: Brezovan; Whing, Hoyte, McNulty, Tunnicliffe, J. Smith, Ajdarevic, Carole, Hart, Holroyd, Dickinson. Subs: Brinkhurst, Barker, Thomas, Dunk, Walker. Link
Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 This lad is now having a trial at Brighton and Hove...Link No surprises really. Wasn't he only on a one year deal? He's obviously got a bit of raw talent but just hasn't made the step up.

Hitesh Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 It would help if he was given a first team game though. Not if the management don't think he is good enough. He has been playing in the reserve games recently and can't have shown much promise. Unless this trial is for a possible loan move??

Unless this trial is for a possible loan move?? 1 game or 30 minutes off the bench wouldn't hurt though. Who knows how he/Verma would get on in a first team game, we will never know. I personally think any player a manager signs should be given at least 1 first team appearance to see how they get on, otherwise it's pointless signing them.

He was sent back early from Crewe for not being good enough. What possible reason could you think of for putting him in the first team?

Probably cost next to nothing. Worth a look, you can never tell how a lad will change under your guidance.

This is such a stupid comment, teams should be picked based on form in training, fitness etc not based on a cab rank 'your next up mate' system.
