danny. Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 as a few other people have said, bit of a dull start but gets really good after a few episodes
Fox You Forest Posted 15 February 2011 Posted 15 February 2011 Has anyone watched any of the prequel yet? been four episodes on already (possibly in the US and not here) only just found out.
NorthernFox Posted 15 February 2011 Posted 15 February 2011 I'd heard the prequel (or sequel) was delayed by Andy Whitfield being diagnosed with Cancer. Think he has the all clear tho
Fox You Forest Posted 15 February 2011 Posted 15 February 2011 He's not in it, I'm obtaining the first episode now.
The Doctor Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 No, I am Spartacus! Im spartacus and so is my wife. No, I am Spartacus. this argument about who is Spartacus reminded me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPoMF3dX2CY And for the record: I am Spartacus.
rico Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Andy Whitfield, the former star of Starz's "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" series, died on Sunday of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in Sydney. He was 39 years old.Whitfield, who was born in Wales and lived in Australia, was a virtual unknown when he was cast as the title hero in "Spartacus," a hit original series that made waves with its graphic violence and sexuality. The actor was preparing for the second season when he was diagnosed 18 months ago. In January, the network announced that another Australian actor, Liam McIntyre, would take over the role."We were fortunate to have worked with Andy in 'Spartacus] and came to know that the man who played a champion onscreen was also a champion in his own life," said the network. "Andy was an inspiration to all of us as he faced this very personal battle with courage, strength and grace. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and fans.Whitfield's wife Vashti in a statement called her husband a "beautiful young warrior" who died on a "sunny Sydney morning" in the "arms of his loving wife." Far too young RIP
