Floating Fox Posted 8 February 2010 Posted 8 February 2010 After having my first experience of go-karting last week I have to say I am hooked. I thought an FT session would be a good idea. There is an indoor track near Loughborough which we can get exclusivly for £35 a head needing 12 of us. I was thinking we could do this before a home match in the morning, then travel to said home match, as you'd need a car/lift to attend this really... Just an idea anyway, but I love Go-karting now! Need to go again!
Tomassi Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 That indoor circuit at Wymeswold is brilliant! Good luck organising it
Finnegan Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 Great banter but a bit pricey for me. Good idea though, Andy.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 February 2010 Posted 9 February 2010 Yeah the Wymeswold one isnt bad at all, the one up the A46 is the best around here though.

Uncle Albert Posted 11 February 2010 Posted 11 February 2010 Yeah the Wymeswold one isnt bad at all, the one up the A46 is the best around here though. Yeah count me in mate, I will be going for the 'non-drivers licence' championship.
Floating Fox Posted 11 February 2010 Author Posted 11 February 2010 Maybes/Bert would you be up for co-organising this event? Being so far away makes it rather hard to collect the moolah off people y'see.
The Stig Posted 11 February 2010 Posted 11 February 2010 Raced Karts at national level for 4 years, raced against the sons of Martin Brundle, Nigel Mansell - and Rowan Atkinson! Who's son is heavily involved in motorsport! I had to hang up my boots due to not being able to afford to compete, it's an expensive game. Karting is my passion, but I can't afford to do it properly. You guys who play football are lucky, it's a sport where talent can shine through without money.
Floating Fox Posted 11 February 2010 Author Posted 11 February 2010 You'd probably wipe the floor but would you be up for it mate?
Maybes Posted 11 February 2010 Posted 11 February 2010 Maybes/Bert would you be up for co-organising this event? Being so far away makes it rather hard to collect the moolah off people y'see. I would collect monies if you want yeah.
Tommeh Posted 12 February 2010 Posted 12 February 2010 I'm down if you wait until after March 25th. Which you will, because it's me.
lcfc_jme Posted 12 February 2010 Posted 12 February 2010 I echo the sentiments of T-man. Fastest I've done indoors is 46mph. Loved it last time, would love it again.
The Stig Posted 12 February 2010 Posted 12 February 2010 You'd probably wipe the floor but would you be up for it mate? Quite possibly. Would have to know when where and how much (I'm skint at the mo!) but yeah I'd like to. And you'd be surprised, last time it went it was so different to what I was used to all these years I struggled! I still came second out my group, but I used to race outdoor, different engine size, tyre spec, chassis models etc it was alien to me!
