C.J Posted 20 February 2010 Posted 20 February 2010 I think if anybodys back this early mate, they've flew!
Anish Posted 20 February 2010 Posted 20 February 2010 Weale - 8 - some good saves, I think he even tipped the shot onto the bar at the end. Distribution could've been better - hitting it long to Gallagher/Waghorn isn't going to work although he didn't have many other option. Morrison - 7 - solid Hobbs - 7 - ditto Brown - 7 - great in the air, useless when in possession Berner - 7 - assured again and provided some width going forward Midfield was disappointing today, never offering themselves for an 'out' ball and didn't support in attack. Also lost the ball cheaply on too many occasions - especially Wellens and Oakley. King was anonymous as usual so doesn't get any more than a 6. King, Oakley, Wellens - all 6 Dyer - 7 - our best forward. Unlucky not to score when he hit the post, his pace was a constant threat. Waghorn - 6.5 - good workrate again, not too great on the ball. Shame that we just kept pumping it long to him and he was never going to win anything in the air too Gallagher 6.5 - some very good corners, but he's not a natural right/left forward and it showed. Not quick enough although some moments of good skill in the first half when he took 2 men on and shot, when he probably should've passed. Subs: Kermorgant - 6.5 - good in the air Solano - 6 - hardly had a touch but almost scored with an excellent effort which was cleared off the line

According to the radio he made one exceptional block to save a certain goal. But then he might have had a shocking second half cos I was bored to distraction and listened to some music instead. The pitch sounded as if it were only suited to a rugby match and I was well glad not to have wasted time and effort going to watch the sort of shit the fans are obviously prepared to put up with in Plymouth. Long and loud applause for all you people who did go. For me the nightmares of Barnsley and S****horpe away have still not been exorcised. I never did forgive easily.

The pitch was not even suited for rugby, cows would have turned that field down. shocking! Hobbs cleared the almost certain goal off the line as far as i could see? might be wrong though. Weale- 6 (Some rare dodgy moments today 1 of which very almost cost us. Kicks went to the same spot every time. Pointless) Berner 7 (Didn't do anything wrong all game. I still feel that we dont close crosses down fast enough) Hobbs/Brown 7 ( Both did splendid jobs at the back. Shame Brown lost his man to let them score the header for an equalizer.) Morrison 7 (Same As Bruno) Oakley/King/Wellens 5 (Didn't create enough attacking flare for me. Wellens was useful at times but useless at others. None of them will shoot either! Just grow some footballs and hit it!) Gallagher 6(Worked hard but was never going to be able to anything with the costant bombardment of hoof ball) Dyer 7(Same as Gallagher but i felt that lloyd offered a bit more then gallie! Should have scored!) Waghorn 7(The bloke is a hard worker but we didn't give him anything to work with today! HOOF AFTER HOOF will not work! Also should have scored) Subs Kermo 5- (Won some headers but after waghorn went off Plymouth beat us all over the park. We lost our what was already little emphasis.) Nobby 5-(Had a shot saved off the line, and put another wide. He should be taking freekicks! in the last ten minutes! Why isn't he?) A disappointing display really, what happened to that attacking flare that we had at scunny? where we got the ball down and used the wide area's? While we continue to hoof hoof hoof and hoof at the same exact spot (Weale!!) we haven't got a hope in hells chance of scoring! and while we continue to play so bloody deep, we might defend well but we will never have enough attacking options. p.s. What the hell was the Plymouth defender doing when he scored that OG ,he wasn't even being closed down? If the lads who were sitting in row A inline with the goal are on here. Lads grow some fricking brains! running onto the pitch, giving hand gestures to the home fans constantly, sl*gging off Leicester players and arguing with stewards! You give our club a bad name! Not one of you actually watched the match at any point! What was the point in traveling 300+ miles to do that?
southdevonfox Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 granted i only had a 45 min drive for this 1 , but hey did i feel proud when we parked the car up and saw blue & white everywhere we looked around the ground , great support at bristol and argyle , well done
SamL Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Weale (7) Morrison (7) Hobbs (8) Brown (7) Berner (7) Oakley (7) King (6) Wellens (6) Gallagher (6) Waghorn (6) Dyer (7)

The guys and gals that when down there deserve a medal for making a right trek today Its still an absolute f***er of a long way back to london too It's an even bigger of a f***er if you're driving back to London and they close the M4, trust me. Half 11 I got back last night Weale 8 Morro 7 Hobbs 8 Brown 7 Berner 7 Wellens 6 King 6.5 Oakley 7 Dyer 6.5 Waghorn 7 Gally 6.5 Kermo 6 Solano 5
Salieri Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Weale 7 Morrison 7 Hobbs 7 Brown 7 Berner 7 Wellens 6 King 6 Oakley 6 Dyer 7 Waghorn 7 Gally 6.5 Kermorgant 6 Solano 6 Had a great day out yesterday, respect to the fans who made the long journey down (i only had a 2 hour train ride). The pitch was awful, the game not great but was happy with a point in the end. Plymouth fans were very quiet, our fans were pretty good, especially a group near the top (centre) who did their utmost to drum up a bit of atmosphere.
Bert Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Weale 7 - Kept us in the game again. Can't really blame his distribution as the pitch was that bad. Morrison 6 - Got made to looka mug a few times, albeit by their best player, but never backed down. Berner 7 - Didn't get too much help from Dyer, defending or attacking but made one colossal block to save us from going behind. Brown 6 - Why does he take free-kicks? All they offer is the chance for them to regain possession. Didn't defend too badly to be fair. Hobbs 7 - Standard Hobbs. King 7 - Always there to pick off the scraps and lay the next pass on. Oakley 6 - Lots of effort but little impact, liking him in this advanced role to be fair. Wellens 5 - The pitch took Wellens out of the game. Dyer 7 - Excellent going forward, certainly our most dangerous player yesterday. Waghorn 6 - See Oakley. Gallagher 5 - Utter guff. When he did something good, he managed to ruin it by being greedy and shooting instead of passing. No threat posed. Yann 6 - Won his share in the air, but he plays too deep to play up front on his own. Solano 5 - Nothing special, N'Guessan would've been the better option.
surrifox Posted 21 February 2010 Posted 21 February 2010 Brown 6 - Why does he take free-kicks? All they offer is the chance for them to regain possession. Didn't defend too badly to be fair. that thought occurred to me as well. A couple of Argyle fans I was speaking to said that they had not seen a better centre back pairing than Hobbs and Brown all season
