markbsac Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 It's his opinion. Some don't care about Coventry, some can't stand them. It's the same at every club, certain supporters will consider a club a rival and others won't. well said to me it will always be forest due to leicester fans jumping ship when i was at school in loughborough to support forest in the late 70s early 80s when they had a small amount of success....and the are so big headed thinking they are superior to every other team !
Guest Bilo Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 The lesta game is the one I look forward to the most. I have been booted off these boards before and fully expect the same treatment this time round as I often offer intelligent points to which nobody is able to match. 'To which nobody is able to match' Does this pass for grammar in Coventry? Judging by the quality of your posts, I lose more brain cells during a heavy night on the lash than you could ever dream of possessing. What flavour are your windows by the way? Now run along, your sister's finished her shift. Oh, and don't drop your crayons.
Rocket-Ron Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 well said to me it will always be forest due to leicester fans jumping ship when i was at school in loughborough to support forest in the late 70s early 80s when they had a small amount of success....and the are so big headed thinking they are superior to every other team ! I'd love leicester to win the league and the European cup
markbsac Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 I'd love leicester to win the league and the European cup so would i but neither us or them will ever do that again....right manager, right team, at the right time.......thats why they have never won it again ! on the scheme of what man u liverpool arsenal have won...it was a small amount of success...i was happy with the league cups and getting into europe twice !
Daggers Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 well said to me it will always be forest due to leicester fans jumping ship when i was at school in loughborough to support forest in the late 70s early 80s when they had a small amount of success....and the are so big headed thinking they are superior to every other team ! Behave. One of these fans who jumped ship, one wasn't the girl who took your virginity was she? You're coming across as an unrequited love-struck dumped teen. Forest were outstanding during that era and I'll have killed for us to have lifted the European Cup twice and the League title. They have a better history than us, I think some people need to learn to live with it a bit better. Cov (and the other similar East Mids sides) will always be a rival for everyone who shares a workplace, hobbies or interests with Cov fans. They're local so the chance of one of the three former things will be high for those of us living in the East and West Midlands. Today workplaces will be full of banter about the second goals, the headbutt and the chants - it's the point of rivalry, the good natured piss takes. The unbridled joy, as we ripped them a new arsehole a couple of season's back and the furious texting & tweets greeting the first 45 minutes tells the real story. Maybe it isn't a local derby to you, Serge and whatsiface - but it is for the rest of us.

Matt Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 correct as tom and serge from kasabian said "we have no rivals".......forest and derby have the rivalry ..in nottingham and in derby, ask a forest fan in loughborogh who that hate the most .....the answer will be leicester every time its geograhical, forest are heavily our numbered by leicester fans in loughborough so they get so much shit from leicester fans in loughborough so you can see where there hatred comes from.....i dont even know a coventry fan there are non i know of in loughborough ! Ask a Leicester fan in Hinckley or Nuneaton area and a majority will answer Coventry, I don't know why tbh, They have very little fans, there ground is shit, there a nothing team, won nothing, e.t.c, I can't explain my hate for Coventry really but I do hate them, Derby and Forest to me mean nothing really, A little bit more now as my old boss was a Derby fan and recently have worked with Forest fans so a little bit of rivalry and hatred has come in now but on a whole i'm not that bothered by them.
Tommeh Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 we all have our own opinions...mine will never change......come on you foxes ! And I agree with you. Cov are nothing to the important and Forest's whole whole story can be diplicted in 10 years and one manager.
markbsac Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 And I agree with you. Cov are nothing to the important and Forest's whole whole story can be diplicted in 10 years and one manager. allthough we never won the european cup the same can be said for us and martin o'neil...i know a few forest fans that hated our years of succsess...even more as it was one of there ex players and they often said MON was coming to us before taking on the florist job..he was warming hiself up to take them to glory....WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!
Fosse Boy Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 I just don't hate Coventry. I wouldn't mind a proper us and them rivalry with them, but I've just got nothing to get worked up about. On the other hand, I'm always up for F*rest and the sheep, and they are more than each of them let on too. Sorry Coventry fans.
Houchens Forehead Posted 22 March 2010 Posted 22 March 2010 It is a constant source of embarassment to me that fellow Cov fans come on here and talk of "Lesta". Am I missing something? Is this some form of hitherto unknown badinage I have been excluded from. Either way Rayray you're making a proper Gareth of yourself and us! I'd rather ask our rivals what they think of Pearson bearing in mind we looked at him before we appointed Coleman? Can't be unhappy with him can you Leicester? (see I spelt it right as well!)
ts_1010 Posted 23 March 2010 Posted 23 March 2010 How can Anyone hate people who do stuff like this??? www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3HDSikQPo0&feature=grec
rayraysworld Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 Cheers for that, Houchens forehead. That is all we need, Cov fans mocking other Cov fans. And what is a Gareth? You seem to have no sense of humour and just want to talk about managers. And the Foxes manager at that! Even LESTA fans will admit that although he has done an excellent job, he is the most boring person to listen to. Except yourself of course. Oh....there I go again.....making a Gareth of myself. As people on this thread are talking about the rivalry, I guess it all comes down to where you live, work and also your experiences. I don't dislike Villa at all and don't really care about them, but I love playing lesta. I have worked in lesta for a while and also in lutterworth where there was a mix of cov and lesta fans and the banter was always lively. I want the foxes to stay in the championship purely for selfish reasons. Theirs is the only fixture I am bothered about.
Finnegan Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 I want the foxes to stay in the championship purely for selfish reasons. Theirs is the only fixture I am bothered about. Sad, strange, little boy.
Corky Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Even LESTA fans will admit that although he has done an excellent job, he is the most boring person to listen to. I can recall so many famous Chris Coleman quotes and interviews
Daggers Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 I can recall so many famous Chris Coleman quotes and interviews I counted 17 outright gags, four stunning and unique insights intot he game and an absolutely hilarious impersonation of Nookie Bear.
The Doctor Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 blah blah blah can i ask why you claim to prefer royal blue in the "supported city since:" when we play in royal blue and you play in sky blue?
