teblin Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 I suppose this is a thread that has been done before but i thought now was the time for it to happen again. We have 6 game left (hopefully 9) to try and secure a place in the "promised land" and i think now is the time to back the team and not get on their backs. You may say this is stating the obvious, which it is but it still doesn't stop people (including myself at some games) having a go at players and a team that have done unbeleiveably well for our club this season. Every other club in the top six other than Newcastle has had a dip in form like this, we just need to stick together and back the team and i'm sure they we put a halt to the run and secure a play off place. Feel free to add your own rallying cry, i'm sure they will be better than mine E I E I E I O

peterborofox Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 Good post teblin. I was pissed off after seeing us lose at Derby, and am annoyed we didnt get something last night. However, this morning I am optimistic. Sometimes you need to try and forget all about it then take another look at the situation, and that is that we are 4 points insdide the playoffs with 6 games to go. Yes, we lost last night, but its another game gone, very soon all the games will be gone and we might just end in the playoffs. I expected us to lose last night, and we did. But we at least put up a fight, and to be fighting to stay in the playoffs off a 3 match losing streak rather than fighting to stay up like we were this time 2 years ago is much more pleasing. I really want to go and see us at WBA. (Trying to persuade my Dad!) I think we can win. I think we can go and get something there, despite everyone writing us off. They need everyones support, and encouragement, not people (like me sometimes) criticising every thing and slagging players off. No more booing of McGivern and Oakley, no more whining about Neilson, no more saying hat Brown shouldnt even be a footballer, lets get behind every single one of them. The way we can make the playoffs is if we all believe and stay optimistic. Its all in our own hands, and we dont have the hardest run in. We can do it. I know we can. We can win at WBA, we can beat anyone. The teams needs us, lets get behind them like we did against Newcastle when we had lost 3 in a row and it looked like being a 4th when Wellens went off. Everyone was behind them then, saying what a heroci performance it was. That got us on a run which put us back int he playoffs and we havent dropped out of them yet, and we are more than capable of doing that again. And worst case scenario: we lose at WBA. Blackpool are at Scunny earlier that day and thats no easy game. But lets say we lose, Blackpool win. We are a point inside the playoffs. We have QPR and Posh in the next two games. Very winnable games. SO come on lets all get behind the team and lets help keep us in the top 6!
john_lcfc Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 18 points to play for and we have a 4 point headstart. A superb position!!! Lets get behind the boys, standing and singing and we will push for these play offs!!!! BLUE ARMY!!!
matty2702 Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 completely agreee! other than last season in League 1 we've become accustomed to watching our seasons peter out into nothing, languishing in the lower regions of the championship. Now with 6 games remaining we are 4 points inside the play offs with EVERYTHING to play for! rather than adopting these typically pesimistic attitudes that "same old city will mess it up," let's f**king enjoy the ride! Every game from here on in is like a cup final, and it's been a long time since I've got this excited about being a foxes fan! COME ON THE BOYS WE CAN DO THIS!!!
dandannieldanok Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 SO come on lets all get behind the team and lets help keep us in the top 6! Useless, fooking useless, the lot of them. Do we really want the playoffs? You really are an idiot.
peterborofox Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 You really are an idiot. Have you ever said a lot of stupid things in anger or frustration? Just becasue I said that, doesnt mean I amn suddenly no longer backing them. It was said out disappointment, thats all.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 I've never moaned about the team for more than maybe a few minutes after a bads match, we probably all do, but they need our support unconditionally. I hate the "they have to give us something to cheer about for us to cheer" mentality. The simple fact that they are Leicester City is reason enough.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 You'll never get over the fact that I was right about him all along will you. hows that one work.
dandannieldanok Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 hows that one work. Player of the year after his first season at Blackpool. Recovered from a horrible injury last season to start 36 league games this season, where Blackpool are having tremendous success. Not bad for a free transfer. Also, look at the last 3 games Leicester have played. 3 different left-backs, each of them not a patch on Crainey; Ryan McGivern, Chris Powell, Robbie Neilson.
Ginola Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 That's a great write up. Get behind the team people.
GLC Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on"; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Sylvie85 Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 No one needs to say anything else after this really. Amen, the team have been brilliant this season, i've already booked my accomodation for wembley. Come on leicester, come on leicester!
caz05 Posted 31 March 2010 Posted 31 March 2010 No one needs to say anything else after this really. We just need to realise how well we have done this season lets make some noise on monday

Player of the season as Blackpool finished 19th, well done, just the kind of player we should be looking at. Injured, Blackpool have bought in some decent players thats why they are doing well not becuase of that Scottish shit bag at left back . In any case even if he was the best of a bad bunch for one year it's only one season, loads of really shit players have one good season, unfortuantly most of them seem to make a career of the back of said one season. Granted we need a decent left back, just because we've got a load of shit left backs doesn't mean we should sign another. We should be signing one better than all players mentioned above!

Remind yourself where we finished that season Blackpool finished 19th. Yeah Blackpool have decent players but you can't carry someone shite for 36 games and be up in 7th. Ryan McGivern has proved that if your a 'shitbag' player then results come crashing down with you. And I've never once mentioned the bloke since the 2007/8 season and not even crossed my mind that we should sign him now, even though he'd be a massive improvement on the players we have covering Berner. You brought him up, I just thought I'd lay the facts on the table. This guy would have been a very decent free transfer at the time I put him forward.

dandannieldanok Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 Excuse me i don't think you are entering into the spirit of the thread!!! Positive please Sorry bud have kinda crashed your thread here, unintentionally. Back on topic: You're right positivity is needed now, hopefully it's already started with the 2nd half fightback at Cardiff. I don't think both the fans and the players should get too distracted about tomorrows result. Of course we need points but we're up against the 2nd best team in the league so for me as long as the performance is spirited and it gives us a springboard for Monday then we should be reasonably happy whatever the outcome. If we win on Monday then I think we can class it as a good Easter regardless of tomorrow night.
FoxyPV Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 We have just been promoted!!! People really need to remember this. We are having an absolutely fantastic season and unfortunately we've hit our bad patch at the wrong end of the season BUT we have given ourselves a 4 point cushion beacsue we have done so well up to this point. We need to get 100% behind the team and hopefully push them over the line into playoff glory. :scarf:

All you've proven is that he would probably have been better than the crap we ended up with which is no achievement and does not make him a good transfer free or otherwise! And their are multiple examples of teams carrying crap left backs, Jordan Stewart anyone?
dpjfox Posted 1 April 2010 Posted 1 April 2010 if Charlie Adam got injured Blackpool would be fecked ( as close as it gets to a one man team)
