Radio Leicester / Stringer Banned

I was told at the QPR match by a reliable source that difficulties arose over the alleged release of information before an embargo time. Apparently, Radio Leicester/Ian Stringer receive information strictly on the basis that it is embargoed until a particular time and an early release of information fell foul of the rules.

From Football Rumours :

BBC Radio Leicester commentator Ian Stringer is currently in talks with BBC Radio Derby. He is currently undergoing a medical.

Make of that what you will.

Just to confirm the above:

Hi,

Ian was not working last weekend, but he's back this Saturday for the

Peterborough game.

Lets hope it's a repeat of Monday

I'm so looking forward to hearing Stringer's usual in-depth analysis of the colours of the opponents' shirts, carrier bags and balloons floating across the pitch, people nipping out for a wee or a drink, and maybe even something about the football action on the pitch.

Glad he's going to be back!! He's a great commentator!!

What hat will be there on saturday for him to pick out???!!!

When he doesn't sing, yeah he's alright.
