Radio Leicester / Stringer Banned

Stringer wasn't granted interviews after the Cardiff game and Radio Leicester we're today banned from asking questions at the press conference.

Looks like Stringer has really pissed someone off.

Apparently asked Pearson why he stayed out of the technical area not knowing he had a bad back, whatever it was still pretty petty by LCFC and suggests a flaw in Pearson's character as it's really punishing the fans so he should rise above it.

Shifty.

Bad move by NP. As DavieG said, It's punishing the supporters and not BBC Radio Leicester. Did Stringer say anything bad about NP's bad back? Must of to trigger this.

Stringer persistently posts rubbish on twitter, makes mistakes in commentary and asks moronic questions why should the coaching staff waste time talking to him? I don't particularly care about hearing comments from the manager directly after a match anyway.

They'll be getting their info from Foxestalk now, new headline "Someone on Bentleys reckons a new player might be joining us" and commentary highlights from davieG's videos.

In normal circumstances, I'd talk about the pettiness of clubs refusing to give information to the media, and then blaming them when they get it wrong. But Stringer tried to win the Apprentice, so bugger it.

Sorry DavieG I don't follow your post. On the Monday Night phone in on Radio Leicester Birchenall discussed Pearson's bad back in Stringer's company. So Stringer did know about Pearson's back didn't he?

We need an alternative theory!

Football is too serious for April Fool's Day jokes!

really?

there was a great one last year about Alan Shearer being appointed as newcastle manager to save them from relegation.

Just reading Ian Stringer's website which includes his Twitter content http://www.ianstringer.co.uk/

My view is that Pearson likes to keep LCFC information in house and not give competitors an advantage concerning injuries and fitness immediately close to matches. Pearson is firing a shot across Stringer's bows to keep him in line.

I accept that Ian Stringer is a passionate Leicester fan but why does he publish information about Dyer's fitness when it might help WBA? Discuss.

The banner at the top of that page made me feel slightly

Normally I quite enjoy Stringer's impassioned commentary - I don't listen to RL for a 'fair and balanced' view of the games. But the downside of having a fan do the commentary is, like many fans, Stringer is prone to over-react.

As the whistle went on Tuesday night, he declared that the result put Leicester City "in deep, deep trouble". Then he realised what a tit that made him sound like and added "err, in the playoff battle".

I would have banned him from a press conference for that, as it was hyping up the current poor run to a ludicrous degree, but clearly the decision was taken earlier than that since it got mentioned in commentary.

So what was the real cause?
