The term 'Broken Britain'

Recommended Posts

Immigration in this country has become a huge problem, don't get me started on that though.

Here we go again. I've already put forward a cogent and more insightful argument in favour of immigration to you before. The fact you're still ready to blame the wrong people just confirms your ignorance.

I suggest you use the search function, to save repeating myself, but before I finish this post, I would like to say that if you want to blame anyone for the state of this country, you should be looking a lot closer to home.

Great Britain is FAR from broken, we really don't know how lucky we are.......people who think this should go away and see how others have it

There may be worse places than Britain but that doesn't mean every thing here is great. There are lots of areas in every city/large town where you wouldn't want to walk through at night or even in daylight sometimes.

And for centuries man could wander where he pleased, without fear or threat.

And lo, then came the Labours and woah everything went tits.

It's not just this govt but things have got worse not better while they've been in power.

You're lovely - but that statement is the biggest pile of cock.

Inner cities have been shite since prostitutes were being slashed by the Ripper and the Arful Dodger was nicking handkerchiefs.

I wasn't around when Jack the ripper was plying his trade so I can't comment on that. All I can say is' IMO' in my life time casual violence, vandalism and general anti-social behavior has become more common and It seens to have gone up a level too.

I feel alot safer walking around town at night than I did in the 80's. I always felt there was tension and the threat of violence back then.

...and don't the policemen look younger these days...and 'eeeee' have you seen the price of tea...

Do you remember the inner-city riots under Thatcher, the police harassment and the pressure-cooker country? Kids being hospitalised for being queer or black, the NF marching on every street.

Nah, I thought the selective Tory memory would wipe over that.

You're right. Things are so much better now.

I didn't say they were - you said they were worse and I pointed out that the statement was cock, something you have yet to prove wrong.

I did say in 'IMO'.I can't prove it and even if I could you wouldn't believe it. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

But, as I said, the inner city troubles in the 80s were clearly worse than anything today. There were knifings by the dozen but the media was different gravy back then, it was only just learning how to hype the cause de jour.

It is the natural response to those who age to glorify the days of their childhood and demonize the current era. Without decent fact to back it up you may as well claim that weather, concrete and interior design was better under the Tories too.

I'm not defending Brown and his bunch of retards, I just reckon you can't lob 'dangerous cities' at them.

Unless you have facts.

Those riots were were the doins' of those who were born in the mid sixties. Bearded (even the women), motorbike riding Bennites; many of whom went on to become teachers and, of course, corrupt every generation to follow.

Bollox - the only reason things SEEM like they are getting worse is because shite rags like the Mail etc highlight every fooking minor incident that suits their centre right middle england xenophobic, paedophobic world view.

Let's hark back to a golden age when everyone had tea and crumpets every lunchtime and the bobby on the beat could kick the fook out of you for being catholic with impunity

by being Tory as teachers are the most conservative, boring, regressive bunch of fvcks i've ever had the misfortune to work with. There is a small minority of teachers who are in anyway progressive and they are marginalised as much as possible.

I think you are taking this a bit more seriously/pissed than it was meant to be.

Smudge was taking the piss out of me, that was all.

You obviously didn't go to the same school as me.

Disagree by voting, whichever person you're voting for you're saying in effect that your happy with the current set up and the people that are endeavouring to become MPs especially if that's a sitting MP.

By not voting I'm saying loud and clearly I don't trust or respect any of you and you've done nothing to convince me otherwise.

I will therefore continue to abstain and criticise especially the self serving approach of MPs, rather than the policies of the respective parties.

I disagree. By not voting people could assume you're just apathetic and aren't really fussed. Spoiling your ballot has more of your desired effect, in my opinion

Any participation in the electoral system validates that system.

A system that allows the political and government classes to flout their own laws and, with the aid of their paymasters in business, control and subjugate ordinary people.
