MC Prussian Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 I guess they simply needed a quick filler for the empty space on that page - nothing too unusual in the press scene.
Daggers Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Two of the people interviewed have got links to articles in This Is Leicestershire. Articles written by people with their names. So it seems some of the people interviewed were the the Mockery's own staff. Lazy, lazy, journalism. Oh, and Travis Barr of Stocking Farm, how dare you sully my name with your glory-boy supporting of Liverpool! The Chron & Echo never went out for public opinion when a vox-pop was used, it was always made up by the journo on the desk. And competitions? No one genuinely won them either.
Manderic's pants Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Keith Horsepool, 84 Braunstone I'm not interested in football at all – I've never liked it. I couldn't care what league they were in. I'm not a bit excited about them going up and playing teams such as Manchester United. I don't like rugby either. This one is comedy genius though. I think in a way, it's not particularly lazy journalism, but a rather stupid and pointless attempt to provide a balance of views. Really, they should have talked to just fans and tried to vary the questions up a bit to get more interesting responses.
Corky Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Good to see the hardcore having their say, especially Rod and Alan.
bluebeau Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Cock would have perhaps been more appropriate. Better still would have been - shmoch (shmock = spelt as it sounds), yiddish for a **** !

But this is definitely good for the city and I would like to go and see them in the Premiership. It would be a proper laugh. In the play-offs I hope we get Cardiff first then beat Forest in the final. Love Keith's negativity! And his last sentence just rounds it off nicely, played keith!! I don't understand Max's logic though. He says he would like to go and see them in the Premiership, it should be a right laugh. Why would it be a laugh in the Premier League but not in the Championship? Would you and your mates act differently at a Championship match and not crack jokes, but in the Prem you would be right comedians?
leicesterseddon Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 This is just a tragically shit attempt at journalism really. So standard fare from the Mockery. Oh well, hope springs eternal...
