Spiritwalker Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Three days on and I'm still struggling to get over Wednesday night . I can't remember being this down after losing in the final to Blackburn or Swindon.
Matt Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Final, as the commentator on the Sky advert said "Wembley is not a place for losing". Having said that all throughout the lead up and during the playoffs i've been saying "I just want a day out at Wembley" but yeah probably the final out of the two. Unfortunatly you can't pick and choose what games you win and what games you lose.
lavrentis Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Losing in the final, as expectations are higher and more realistic to win. Also Wembley tickets are a rip off and travel etc so if we were to lose in the playoffs, best in the semis.
red5 Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 For this year losing the semi, as I just wanted a trip to the new wembley.
C-man Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Losing in the semi-final is the worst. I've lost in plenty of semi's and finals and I've always felt more gutted in the semi's. Having said that, I'm not particularly gutted after Wednesday and maybe I would've been had we been beaten in the final.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Losing in the Semi Final is the worst without a doubt as you know you were one game from the Final
Anish Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 I'd prefer to lose in the semis. When you get to the final you can almost taste victory and the Premiership, so to get to Wembley and lose would be far worse in my opinion.
pimlico Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 the final, it's horrible having to wait in a massive queue to get the tube after the game under a cloud of gloom. Or get out of the car park.
syston_fox Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Final, can you imagine a Kermo penalty at Wembley? At least he could have blamed the pitch. Losing in the semi was horrible for me as I've never seen us play at Wembley before and fancied a weekend down in London.
Scow Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I think it'd hurt more losing to Holloway's Blackpool or Forest in the final.
Walkers Wench Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Three days on and I'm still struggling to get over Wednesday night . I can't remember being this down after losing in the final to Blackburn or Swindon. I agree,,,today is the first day i haven't worn black ,,,,
Walkers Wench Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 For this year losing the semi, as I just wanted a trip to the new wembley. I know what you mean,,,i'd even got my wembley fund going and i'd have had to have purchased 4 tickets for me and my boys,,,,oh well off to Yarmouth we go for the weekend instead!
