Best away day this season and most looking forward to next season

Blackpool was without doubt my best away day. Bit of a trek on the train (5 hours there, 4 hours back) but beer kept me going. Loved the temporary stand.

Palace and Posh were also very good too.

Looking forward to the London away days next season. Hopefully have QPR, Palace and Millwall/Charlton. Then you've got the likes of Forest, Derby, Sheffield United and Scunneh... oh yes.

I will go with this too.

Blackpool was great for many things, but the fact we had to get so many trains and change so many times, yet everything was on time, was bloody brilliant.

Blackpool was top of the list for me this year. Had a bit of everything; atmosphere, drama, a top result and a couple of good nights out to boot. Newcastle is up there purely for the night out as the game wasn't great. Atmosphere-wise, West Brom was pretty good & it was great to snatch a late winner at Middlesbrough.

Forest & Derby both failed to live up to expectations for various reasons but all in all every away day was well worth the time and the money for me.

Next year I'm looking forward to first time trips to Cardiff's new ground (gutted I missed out last wednesday), Swansea, Bristol City, Watford & (possibly) Swindon. But bring on the lot, it's often quite low-key away days with little expectation that can turn out to be up there with the best!

I strongly disagree.

Cov away is what you make of it !

I'm not going to go there in the mindset its gonna be shit as I won't enjoy it.

Yes, it may attract a different type of supporter to other games but near the back people stood up last time and made a bit of noise.

cant wait for cov next year will be a great derby

m69 derby :scarf:

Yep, Coventry is definitely a quality away day.

If you think plonking me in the middle of nowhere without a boozer in sight, just an hour away from where I live & then asking me to stand in a completely lifeless bowl for 90 minutes is a quality away day then I honestly think you need to get out more. You obviously don't get to many games do you ?

I don't disagree with what you're saying but "a great derby"? Really?

Burnley, Forest, Millwall/Swindon, Portsmouth, Sheff United, all cups and possibly Derby and Hull for me next season.

No Palace or QPR? :o

Maybe Palace if Millwall don't come up, only for the Fanatics though. Definitely not QPR, don't think Loftus Road this season can be beat.

Hoping to do every game again, only time will tell as to whether that's financially viable.

How many people here go to away games on their tod? That's the main problem for me, my mates usually work on Saturdays and the one's that would be available don't even support City. I can't imagine it being very fun going on your own prior to the game, during the game is fine it's just the build up and post match schenanigans which won't be the same.
