ousefox Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 I managed to only go to shit away games this year with Scunny being the pinnacle of my away days. Looking forward to Leeds the most next year so i can take the piss out of all the so called 'fans' (who only go to one game a season and think they know everything about footie) at my school when we beat them. After that probably Norwich and Barnsley (Desperate for this to be a Sat, 3pm kickoff this year )
Shrenchel Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Sheffield United probably. Not really sure why, obviously others where the results were better and the support marginally too but fvcking enjoyed it. First away game back in the Championship. Proper decent turnout for a Tuesday night. Crackin noise at points, better selection of songs than usual. Being able to go right down the front but also stand which has been very rare this season. Love the way big, old style grounds look under floodnights. Decent game where I realised we were geniunely going to be able to compete this season. Just a buzz about it really.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Palace. Always. Honourable mentions for Sheff United, QPR, Bristol City, Blackpool, Peterborough, Preston....... Bit of an odd one I have to mention too - Coventry away in the FA Youth Cup, won 3-2 with a very late winner. Was a brilliant night. As for next season, looking forward to Palace, Sheff United and Bristol City - they always seem to be good ones in terms of standing and atmosphere. As for the new ones, it's probably a potential trip to Charlton or Millwall that stands out. The London ones are fantastic.
samjohnson Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 This season: Peterborough Next season: Dirty Leeds and Cov
LCFC-ARAB Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 This season: Peterborough Next season: Dirty Leeds and Cov Why? i'm not being an arsehole i'm just honestly curious everything i look for in an away game is lacking at Cov away
samjohnson Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Ive just got a feeling this year we could well hump 'em...

This Season: Posh, Palace, QPR, Sheff Yoo and Preston Next Season: Hull, Pompey, hopefully MILLLLL again, and any new grounds I haven't been to.
Guest claude_leic Posted 15 May 2010 Posted 15 May 2010 Generally i have been very dissapointed with the away support this year, right from the kick off it has seemed very stale. My favourite away games however were Sheff United, Watford, Peterborough and Preston. In the pub before Forest was class, but in the ground it was stale as fook, even before we were losing. Nothing this year came close to the great day out at Leyton Orient. Next year i wont be going to as many away games. Im going to uniand i can't be bothered with the vast amount of ****** that go. However im loking forward to Forest again, heopfully we can do them at the city ground.
Mikey Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Blackpool/ Peterborough/Cardiff. Next season: MIllwall if they come up and Pompey mainly.
C-man Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Felt a bit depressed yesterday thinking that Wednesday night might never be beaten in terms of atmosphere from both sets of fans, so I'm gonna say Cardiff was my favourite.
Milans Foxes Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Felt a bit depressed yesterday thinking that Wednesday night might never be beaten in terms of atmosphere from both sets of fans, so I'm gonna say Cardiff was my favourite. Exactly my thoughts!! I almost hope we make the play-offs again rather than getting top two next season! Nothing can ever re-create the drama, pure elation, absolute heartbreak and raw atmosphere that we all experienced during Wednesday night!! Its one of those nights that we may have to wait another ten years for.

I've been thinking exactly the same. QPR is up there as well though. And Palace obviously. Next season want to go to more games up north. Fancy Turf Moor and maybe Preston or somewhere like that.
Guest Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Exactly my thoughts!! I almost hope we make the play-offs again rather than getting top two next season! Behave. It's one thing to say that you enjoyed the atmos, all of us who were there did but to suggest that you'd want to finish in the playoffs rather than automatic is nonsense.
Leicester Rule! Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Some quality away days this year to be honest! Newcastle was great for a weekend away; Middlesbrough was awesome for the result, not expecting to get anything and getting a late winner. QPR for the general day out in London and peformance, as with Crystal Palace. Blackpool, another weekend away, epic. Preston for the fact we guaranteed playoffs. The Cardiff playoff game, just shows why we love football so much - the emotions throughout that game! The only two ones that were not the greatest were Barnsley and Sheff Wednesday! Already looking forward to August!
Tommeh Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 I'd rather do the play-offs's again. drama was immense, week and days leading up incredible and the buzz unmatched
James. Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 I'd rather do the play-offs's again. drama was immense, week and days leading up incredible and the buzz unmatched I was gonna say that while auto would be preferred in terms of success for Leicester there's definitely a part of me that would jump at the chance of feeling the emotions that Wednesday provided. It was simply one of the most incredible experiences in and out of football I've had.
maddog Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Watford away was a pretty exciting game, and lots of goals. And Super Danys header.
Matt Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Best this season was probably Peterborough. Looking forward to Leeds I think.
Bakey Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Blackpool this season was awesome, would like to go there next season if they lose to the welsh. But nothing competes with the atmosphere and emotions that come with the play-off's
howsyourfather Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 peterborough was a really good day and despite the score west brom was really good, thought the fans were great that day, even starting the albion chant due to the poor home support. Was quite dissapointed with newcastle, it may look an impressive ground but i didn't enjoy watching the game from such high altitude, i couldn't work out who was who. next season i'm looking forward to portsmouth, hopefully it's going to be at the end of the year so we can have a nice weekend in the sun by the sea, like southend last year. I hope millwall go up to, there's nothing like being frit to death all afternoon
howsyourfather Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 i can't believe i forgot to mention cardiff on weds, possibly one of the greatest games i've been to, coming close to the 3 - 3 with arsenal at filbo, the passion and commitment of the players and the fans singing their hearts out will stay with me forever
lovelcfc Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 sheffield united or peterborough and most looking forward to forest, sheffield united and leeds
