SamL Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Near enough every away game this season has had its merits, be it the late equalizers and epic celebrations at Watford and Bristol City, or the days out at Forest and West Brom. In terms of atmosphere, Palace, Blackpool, Preston and Peterbororugh have all topped my list. An away day is what you make of it & I've had a laugh at every single game this season and can't wait to do it all over again next season. I'm particularly looking forward to days out in London for QPR, Palace and potentially Millwall, whereas Barnsley, Sheffield United and S****horpe are always pretty memorable. Having said that, I can't see anything matching Cardiff away in the near future. Quality atmosphere from both sets of supporters and a decent amount of our lot standing made it a decent night, minus the result.
Mr B Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Well due to funds i only managed to make it to Preston, but that was one epic day out.
Guest Bilo Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Well due to funds i only managed to make it to Preston, but that was one epic ay out. You did pick a good un mate. We'll have to do a few more next season, no way you're getting out of the London bad boys.
Mr B Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Have no plan to mate. We're not leaving them matches without being close to legless and no voice left!
Donut Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Peterboro away was the best away game for me this season Next season, its all about the derbies And its always good to take a trip to Elland Road
Sylvie85 Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Only managed to afford one game, WBA. Looking forward to Hull away, leeds and Millwall (hopefully).
Mikey Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Am I missing something about Hull away, I've never been before? Seems quite a few people are looking forward to it.
Fosse Boy Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Am I missing something about Hull away, I've never been before? Seems quite a few people are looking forward to it. I'm in the same boat as you here. Far better grounds that I'm hoping to get first time visits in to next season - Bristol City, Portsmouth...
lcfc_jme Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 I had some absolutely disastrous aways this season in Scunny with completely frozen feet, seeing us tanked at Forest, attempting to go to Cardiff the day after my birthday to see it called off, not to mention what happened at Palace. Favourites would probably be the celebration for Lloyd's goal at 'Boro, QPR for the day as a whole and Palace pre-match with Inter fans and atmosphere trains. As for next season, I reckon I'll uphold the ban and my subsequent decision to stay away. Though Continental SK1 is pencilled in for January 2011 and the fingers are crossed for a trip to Stoke. God I hate Stoke.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Am I missing something about Hull away, I've never been before? Seems quite a few people are looking forward to it. I've been twice I didn't think it was that good... got plenty of other games i am looking forward too
Fosse Boy Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Though Continental SK1 is pencilled in for January 2011 and the fingers are crossed for a trip to Stoke. God I hate Stoke. Make sure you adhere to the strict dress code this year then.
Mikey Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 I'm in the same boat as you here. Far better grounds that I'm hoping to get first time visits in to next season - Bristol City, Portsmouth... Me too. Much more looking forward to first trips to Pompey, Burnley, Ipswich, Watford, Leeds and a couple more. And I finally might attend Pride Park this year.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 16 May 2010 Author Posted 16 May 2010 I will attend almost everyone. Leeds, Pompey, Burnley(this will be big), Norwich, Millwall, Derby and Forest will be the best i'd imagine but their is potentially some brilliant away days this year. Just need the right timings now.
Tommeh Posted 16 May 2010 Posted 16 May 2010 Only 3 new grounds to do is a bit meh. Pompey ok let's go. But Ipswich and Norwich, horrible away end's charging horrible prices and horrible to get to.

The only reason Im doing these aways is to get lairy with the boy Wils and tear up the Norfolk nightlife
Unit Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 what??? Don't worry he also said he can't wait for Hull as it's massive. This season: Posh. I have to say that because of my awayday curse. Next season: too many to chose from: Really love it if this year we beat forest away, leeds, hopefully millwall etc etc (the dickheads.)
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 I'm hoping to make a few this year couldn't really give a toss if it's Huddersfeild on a Monday Nite.

Just need the right timings now. Why? Although I have heard from an Ipswich lad I know that the designated away fans pub for Burnley is the cricket club next door. They played them first game of the season once, so all these Ipswich lads just started cheering on the away team at this cricket ground while they were having their pre-match ales.
Fox92 Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Enjoyed Preston and QPR the most. Can't wait for Coventry the most I think.
C-man Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Enjoyed Preston and QPR the most. Can't wait for Coventry the most I think. How can you have been to two of the best aways all season and then say you can't wait for Coventry?!
Messi Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Cardiff for Atmosphere; QPR for Performance Looking Forward to Forest, Leeds and Cardiff Again! Why will the Burnley game be big?
Foxes1 Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Best away day Pre-Season Friendly at Shrewsbury especially singing to the home fans after the 4th goal went in "GIVE THEM THERE MONEY BACK" Looking forward to Leeds.
C-man Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Definitely cutting down this year. Will probably only hit Sheff Utd, Burnley, Forest, Derby, Portsmouth and the team promoted through the play-offs.
