bigneville Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Firstly, I'd like to say top effort yesterday to the Fosse Boys. There is clearly a mass improvement on the atmosphere this ground. I'd just like to offer some constructive feedback to help try and improve your size and following; I am a big fan of what your doing, and often find myself singing along with all your chants. However. You do sing a lot of the uncommercial chants (got no problem with this), however, you seem to repeat them for a long long time. I heard a few comments that people agree with what your doing, but you need to keep changing the songs. The Leicestershire boys and girls song went on for about 5 minutes at one point yesterday and everyone seemed to zone you out, and stopped listening. If you could keep varying the chants, and that does include repeating them later, then I would expect more people would be keen to get involved and take notice. Also by varying the chants, you have more chance of the Kop joining in, and creating that electric atmosphere you are trying to create and we are all craving. Keep you the good work Fosse Boys.

1964FOX Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 It's because Arab and Fosse Boy have had their response time impaired by alcohol prior to the game so it takes them time to realise we've been singing it too long. However I won't be suggesting they drink less.
North-LondonFox Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 We have a shop on our website where you can buy some from Fosse Boys Been meaning to post for a while - just wanted to say I think its quality what you chaps are doing with the FBs. Not just sitting around moaning about a lack of atmos but getting off your ar$es and doing something about it. Fair play chaps - i'm sre this sort of thing can only help the team. We'll be climbing the table in no time.......I hope!
ousefox Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Fair, York are good. I've seen them and Aldershot live but I wasn't as impressed as I was with the Stanley lot tonight. Apparently the Jorvik Reds have disbanded because of an argument- not sure whether it was with the club or with each other. Went to a game the other week and it was silent It was absolutely terrible. My mates went on saturday and apparently the atmosphere was equally shocking. Unfortunately, York matches are a lot less appealing without the guarenteed atmosphere which was a given at every games last season. I'm actually gutted because there was constant noise all the time and it doesn't look like it is coming back
Stand UP... Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 sorry if this has been posted already, but this is pretty impressive...we only need a couple of hundred more for this to be reality
1884 Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Don't know if any of the Fosse Lads have seen / read this? It's a really good read and worth looking at, an iterview with the HF at Palace. http://europeanfootballweekends.blogspot.com/2010/09/holmesdale-fanatics-crystal-palace-fc.html I was in the Palace end at Derby on saturday, and fair play to them. They didn't shut up for the whole 90 minutes! 5-0 down and they were still go for it. It might be worth the Fosse Boys trying to replicate that sort of thing for away games? The HF take the banner away from home, all try and sit (stand!) with each etc... I think you'd get more people taking part and becoming part of the group this way too because more die-hards tend to go both home and away games.

Suffice to say I share many views expressed in that interview. Not looking to imitate anyone and home games have been our priority so far, but we're getting more organised with regards to away days now.

KFS Posted 30 September 2010 Posted 30 September 2010 Too chilly I'd take my top off at a Leicester game on Boxing day... I'd have to have my nipples reattached though, any volunteers?
Simmo86 Posted 30 September 2010 Posted 30 September 2010 90 minutes plus the 2 hours before kick off they are all there doing it as well! Went to the rome derby 3 years ago, both sets of ultras were in the ground 2 hours before kick off! Was an unreal experience flares and thunderflashes going off constantly! The celebrations when Rocchi opened the scoring for Lazio were epic!! Ive only celebrated like that with City when we beat the Red Shite 2 months earlier in the cup!
