I do think there were genral nerves - everyone wanted Powell to do well and for the teams sake we just needed a fooking win!

I must admit though, there is definitely a correlatio between presence of drummer and amount of noise.

Also didn't help that Scunthorpe fans were poor

The best songs are started by the fans, and the drum can join in.

The worst ever song is our version of ring of fire I'm afraid.

The version sung at a hundred billion miles an hour every time you mean? Totally agree.

Maybe - but the song certainly has a use when we sing it non stop for 90 minutes and silence the other fans (very rare, but it has happened)

Weird how some lads go to footy and act all cool like they're out on the pull, makes no sense.

To be fair mate there was some high quality poon on display in SK1 today...

Other than the Fosse Boys the atmosphere was absolutely Lloyd this afternoon. No-one wanted to know.

More of a general problem than just L1 to be fair. Weird how some lads go to footy and act all cool like they're out on the pull, makes no sense.

Have you seen some of the talent at the Walkers?

I can assure you he was

Very back row, one seat in off the stairs.

Nob.

Whats the guy look like....think I know the one you mean?

L is generally quieter when there is next to no away support.

Goal celebrations were epic, especially after the 2nd. How the hell did i end up upside down on a chair??

Beer, euphoria and a lack of general balance whilst in a jubilent crowd I think.

Fosse Boys were very impressive today, 10000000 times as good as L1 who IMO were abysmal, pretty poor that their nothing without a drum.

I don't know when but one day I probably will join the FB, I went with them at Pompey and Norwich and it was cracking to be fair.

Think he's chubby (ish) with a bit of a beard. Stood next to a tall bald bloke. You won't need to recognise him, its his voice you'll hear from ages miles away that does your head in. Bell end

We were told to take our "Keep S****horpe Standing" banners down by the club because they were deemed "too political". That was the edict to the stewards from the powers that be.

What ??

As I was booing the stewards from SK2, I never would have though that it was 'too political' !

Lucky for you FB's that they didn't do you for obscenity - the leading 'S' was hanging down and you couldn't see it !

Got a decent pic of the FB from all the way in L1. Could see some action, but couldn't hear it, which was funny, as after the "FB give us a song chant", some guys looked towards you, and said "they've heard us, look they're singing"!!

And the emergence of twats who have only come in the section to look cool in front of their friends. :frusty:

I agree, yesterday i was stood behind a girl and a lad, who flirted and played on love calculator on there phone all game. :frusty:

Make a banner with "now" on and hold it up when they sing it next time and I'll know what you mean.

I have to say the rest of the stadium was embarrassingly quiet what the hell was going on :dunno:

Anyone who questions why grounds are quiet these days just needs to look around where they sit now and think back to what it was like 10/15/20 years ago compared to now. One reason I dont go now is football isnt the working class game it used to be. I had a season ticket for 5 years in the kop and it turned into a middle class family haven, definaltly what the old kop at filbert street wasn't. I feel sorry for the people that are trying to create an atmosphere but im sorry, football is dead, it says that by the amount of times i have seen 'fans' grass other suporters up in grounds for swearing, standing etc etc. by moving football away from the working class male to middle class families has ruined it for me, maybe it has improved it for others but i'd prefer to go and watch england play cricket these days, at least you can get beered up

Just remembered having a conversation with a steward in L1 at half time yesterday. He reckons that the club are gonna start clamping down on standing outside L,K and J again.

Reckons the club think its getting out of control and are worried that stands will start getting closed!! (Joke)

Also said the club aren't happy with L,K and J but they can control it and the SAG are aware but letting it stand! (no pun intended)
