MPH Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Credit to the Fosse boys yet again for helping with the atmosphere.. could hear it all the way over in the states ( via live feed.... ) Few mentions from stringy too I dont think their input can be overestimated.... thank you for playing your part.
EnglishOxide Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 You need to improve your numbers to make yourselves sustainable. L1 at one point were chanting for you to sing a song, seemed like you couldn't hear. Also, the banner for the S****horpe fans was class. It's a shame hardly any of them really saw it.

We couldn't hear L1 singing to us else we would have gave them a song, no questions asked.
Bugg Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 We couldn't hear L1 singing to us else we would have gave them a song, no questions asked. L1 were really, really poor today. I can understand if you didn't hear the chant.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 October 2010 Author Posted 2 October 2010 We were told to take our "Keep S****horpe Standing" banners down by the club because they were deemed "too political". That was the edict to the stewards from the powers that be.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Wave to the stewards, let's all wave to the stewards, wave to the stewards....bless 'em. I know they're only doing their 'job' but Jesus wept, too political. What a joke!
The Doctor Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 maybe i'm just being ignorant but what was the "keep s****horpe standing" banner about?
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 maybe i'm just being ignorant but what was the "keep s****horpe standing" banner about? The Football League want Scvnthorpe to replace their terrace with a seated stand. There's a petition going round to keep it standing
Fosse Boy Posted 2 October 2010 Author Posted 2 October 2010 For the record, I've found the vast majority of stewards to be supportive and encouraging of what we're doing. It's those above them who think our messages of support for fellow football fans are ( lol ) "too political".
Bugg Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 We were told to take our "Keep S****horpe Standing" banners down by the club because they were deemed "too political". That was the edict to the stewards from the powers that be. Too political ! This is supposed to be a free country, how is "Keep S****horpe Standing" too political? Joke of a club we are sometimes.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 October 2010 Author Posted 2 October 2010 Scunthorpe is the most used word in the House of Commons. Fact.
ozleicester Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Thanks Fosse Boys... I spent the 1st half in the west stand (Billy no mates), and then accidentlally found myself in the Fosse Boys... great job of singing and bouncing all afternoon, thanks
lcfc_jme Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 You were told your message was ' too political ' ? Seriously? Some of the decisions our club makes at the best of times are laughable, but this one is so ridiculously pathetic I can't even bring myself to laugh sarcastically. Guessing it came from Goober in his Tower of Oppression?
Guest Bilo Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 The 'too political' decision was literally one of the most laughable ever. I don't think the steward next to me was too impressed when I uttered the words 'is it April the 1st already?' either! Other than that though they pretty much left us alone, choosing instead to bully two small children next to us for the heinous crime of banging the perspex at the back. Still, thought we were bloody good value this aftie. Shame the rest of the ground has less life than Tony Curtis.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 L1 were really, really poor today. I can understand if you didn't hear the chant. Perhaps if the tosser at the back of L1 decided to get behind the team as much as he opens his mouth to take the piss out of anyone and everything, it'd help

Guessing it came from Goober in his Tower of Oppression? That's one way of putting it.
Bugg Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Perhaps if the tosser at the back of L1 decided to get behind the team as much as he opens his mouth to take the piss out of anyone and everything, it'd help He wasn't here today...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 He wasn't here today... I can assure you he was Very back row, one seat in off the stairs. Nob.
Bugg Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 I can assure you he was Very back row, one seat in off the stairs. Nob. My mistake, I thought you were talking about Jobber
Houdini Logic Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 L1 were really, really poor today. I can understand if you didn't hear the chant. Absence of drummer makes L fall apart. I have no idea why I've written that like a newspaper headline
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Absence of drummer makes L fall apart. I have no idea why I've written that like a newspaper headline We were quiet today, though I don't think it was due to Jobber not being there
Bugg Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 Absence of drummer makes L fall apart. I have no idea why I've written that like a newspaper headline And the emergence of twats who have only come in the section to look cool in front of their friends.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 October 2010 Author Posted 2 October 2010 And the emergence of twats who have only come in the section to look cool in front of their friends. More of a general problem than just L1 to be fair. Weird how some lads go to footy and act all cool like they're out on the pull, makes no sense.
Houdini Logic Posted 2 October 2010 Posted 2 October 2010 We were quiet today, though I don't think it was due to Jobber not being there I do think there were genral nerves - everyone wanted Powell to do well and for the teams sake we just needed a fooking win! I must admit though, there is definitely a correlatio between presence of drummer and amount of noise. Also didn't help that Scunthorpe fans were poor
