Bugg Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 yeh! y try and chip one of the most important pens Because he was confident taking the penalty that way.
loyalfan123 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Because he was confident taking the penalty that way. thats no excuse
Jimmy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 thats no excuse no but the fact that no-one else wanted to take 1 or the free kick towards the end of extra time is, he had the balls to step up when others hid
loyalfan123 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 no but the fact that no-one else wanted to take 1 or the free kick towards the end of extra time is, he had the balls to step up when others hid irelivant....
loyalfan123 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 It isn't is it though? he missed the most important peno by bein a twat. end of.
Bugg Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 he missed the most important peno by bein a twat. end of. You missed the point that Jimmy made by being a twat. End of.
dogadug Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 This lads got to be a wind up surely. He can't spell, and uses text talk, must be someone having a laugh
flanimal Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 All he did was chip it. In the England Portugal shootout in 2000 one of the Portugese players chipped a penalty. The goalkeeper could've easily guessed right. Zidane chipped an important penalty in the World Cup, it scraped the bar but went in. Kermorgant could've easily scored, it's not a stupid penalty, just that it needs to be executed perfectly.
Jimmy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 he missed the most important peno by bein a twat. end of. yes he took a VERY bad penalty and I doubt he'll ever hit 1 that badly again in his life but the fact remains Wellens (all be it on 1 leg), King, Hobbs, Bruce, Spearing & Bruno Berner all refused to take 1

But yeah, there were six players who didn't want to take it. They can't criticise Kermorgant for doing so.
BlueSi13 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Just re-name this the Kermorgant appreciation thread I still think what he did was horrific in the circumstances, but i don't want him to be sold because of it. I'd rather he were sold because he just simply hasn't been good enough this season. Not even close.

With respect mate, what evidence is there of this? Kermorgant might have simply been one of the first to put his hand up/make eye contact with Pearson....we just don't know what happened in the penalty taker selection process....

Finnegan Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Not having another argument about it. Regardless of whether you want to forgive Kermogant or not (I won't do anything stupid like boo him next year, I hope he puts it behind him and moves on) it was disrespectful. Oh. And Flanimal is probably the single biggest moron I've ever had the ill fortune of reading post on a forum. (I'm not in a good mood today.)
Jordan Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 I'm confused; what has Yann Kermorgant done to earn our trust and confidence besides wearing a Leicester City shirt a few dozen times?
iancognito Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 besides There's no besides. If they pull on the shirt you give them your support. Trust is taking it a bit far but after an initial rant on the night about him being a bellend, I'm past it now and looking forward to the fixture list in a few weeks. Wouldn't surprise me if a few inbreds decide to boo him the next time he runs out for us but as someone pointed out, he can get through that if he can get through cancer.
okie fox Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Berner took the first penalty and scored. But yeah, there were six players who didn't want to take it. They can't criticise Kermorgant for doing so. I don't think that it was a matter of Kermogant stepping up when no one else would. Surely, it was Pearson's decision. Who could he trust? Of the 11 on the field, Howard and Waghorn had experience taking penalties in matches, Berner and Solano have the skill, confidence and coolness to succeed, and Kermogant has taken penalties in France and impressed in practice. Of the six, who didn't take them, I think King would have been the next in line as he is cool in front of goal, even though he has never taken a penalty in the league. That leaves Spearing (very inexperienced), Wellens (on one leg and not a goal scorer), Hobbs and Bruce (central defenders lacking the skills of a Rio Ferdinand or John Terry) and Weale (goalkeeper). Kermogant was an obvious choice to be in the top 5 penalty takers.
Edmund Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 (I'm not in a good mood today.) Don't worry, I'm sure Cardiff will be okay next season
Narborough_fox Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 No matter who it was I will give them my support as long as they give %100!
