Guest Bilo Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Just me that couldn't give a shit if Cardiff / Swansea are Welsh and play in the English league system then? No. I don't care either. My reasons for not wanting Cardiff to be promoted are identical to the reasons why I wouldn't want Millwall to get promoted, utter dicks as fans. Being Welsh has bugger all to do with it, they've as much right to the Premiership as any other club in the FL system in that respect.
maddog Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I didn't realise Wrexham was in Wales until reading this thread

BoneDog Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I'm glad that a few of the Welsh teams are in our league system because if they weren't I would never of witnessed that great day in 1992 when Wrexham knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup. I watched the video of that at least 43 times when I was a lad.
James. Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 A few points for the record: 1. I don't care either if Cardiff or Swansea play in the Premiership. In fact even feeling the need to make the point makes me cringe a bit. 2. I don't care that Holloway got promoted. Fair play to him. He was out of his depth at Leicester, it didn't work out. He's not a bad person. I'm pleased for him. 3. I found the Kermorgant video amusing and I do think it was a silly penalty. But things move on and if he performs well next season (assuming he stays) he deserves no stick whatsoever from our fans. 4. Claridge seems like a bit of a dick. Walsh is just a Leicester fan. They're both just giving opinions, let them get on with it. 5. maddog's alright.
Corky Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I have no problem with Cardiff, Swansea and other Welsh clubs being in the league, possibly the Premier League in the future. All the anti-Welsh stuff recently is amusing, no-one gave a toss that these clubs were in the Football League when they were fourth division clubs.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 First Walshy and now Claridge criticising Kermit. Well he's most likely still going to be a Leicester player next year so let's get behind him unless we want to see the same next year. The guy has found it hard settling in here but hopefully he will be fresh and ready next season, he needs our support! What's happened has happened with him it still kills me everytime I think about it but let's try and move on. And for Claridge to criticise him so heavily after saying Cardiff deserve to go through, they look stronger, the right team won, well then don't go criticising our Leicester City players, so long as Kermit is a fox and he tries hard he will get my full support. Get stuffed you plonker. He is an asshole, with no talent whatsoever.
Bugg Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Get stuffed you plonker. He is an asshole, with no talent whatsoever. How is he a plonker? Its a fair enough point, you seem like more of 'plonker' with a mongish response like that IMO.
Narborough_fox Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Personally couldn't give a sh1t if a team is Welsh or English, if I am honest I kind of like it just gives the Welsh game a chance to become bigger and become a better footballing nation. If that also means a better profile Home Nations team i will take it!
Jordan Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I think FT should create a Cardiff/Swansea Hatefest sub-forum.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Get stuffed you plonker. He is an asshole, with no talent whatsoever. Great attitude. If proof were needed that we have the best fans in the world, this is it

Yojoe36 Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Everyone makes mistakes, even though he meant to chip it Give him another go, just no peneltys
BlueSi13 Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 They do. Really pisses me off, that, and I'm not sure why. EPL? Wouldn't it be because all the teams in the Premier League are English perhaps?
Messi Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 I dont see how Kermorgant is supposed to be 'disrespectful'.. it was a moment of madness; if it had gone in and we would have gone through then people would have been jizzing over him saying how good he was But Claridge calling him it, Claridge the Leicester Legend, The same Claridge who gave an interview the day before saying that he thought Cardiff would win cause Leicester didnt have enough behind them etc. But thats Last Season, Kermorgant is a Leicester player, and we should get behind him if he features next season, i suppose we will hear a few boos from some cocks but thats how some people are! I hope he is our top goalscorer next season and scores the goal to take us up if we manage it. LCFC
Fox92 Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 I want to belive in Kermogrant and as he is a Leicester player he has my full support. The only thing that I worry about is that was our chance of getting out of a division which will be tougher than ever next year. I can see a number of clubs looking for a play off spot and think that we might not be able to recreate what we did this year. Still, onwards and upwards. Can't wait to see who we sign
markbsac Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 while yan is wearing that shirt with our great badge on it i will back him 100%...yes he was a bit silly on the night....but its now all done and finished we move on...and i hope he proves next season in his correct posision how good he is !
Criggers Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 Just something to clear up as to why it is referred to as the EPL abroad, and is considered the English league. The Premier league falls under the jurisdiction of The FA. The FA: The FA was founded in 1863 as the governing body of the game in England. The FA is responsible for all regulatory aspects of the game of football in England. Just go to the premier league website and fa website to look ho many times the word England or English are used in the About Us sections. So there. I dont care if Swansea/Cardiff are in the English Leagues or The FA Premier League. It's about as valid as saying Monaco shouldn't be in the Ligue 1. And my money is on Kermo to become a fans favourite next year, he's got to have some luck after that terrible miss-kick/rush of blood/nervous outbreak/complete fook up that was his pen. But oh well. You have to say, if he had gone to wallop it, and slice it wide or over or straight athe keepers legs, noone would have even blinked an eye.
cambridgefox Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 I couldn't give a shit about it either, but then again I can't really hold any valid opinion because I don't want Rangers and Celtic to play in the English leagues, so mine is a hypocritical point of view. i bet Rangers and Celtic shit themselves and kick off at the scotttish FA,about Berwick being in the scots leagues!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 24 May 2010 Posted 24 May 2010 Kermorgant made a mistake and now we should back him next season to give him his confidence back. He is not a poor player, but has been played out of position. Maybe if he was used as a targetman he would be better utilised. The problem I have, however, is that both Savage and Claridge - both ex-City players who did well for us - don't seem to have any respect for our club and are always critical. That's what I have more of a problem with, especially for Claridge who had his best times for us.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 Why call it "The England & Wales Premier League" when it isn't even called the English or England Premier League now? It's called "The Premier League" and due to sponsorship "The Barclay's Premier League." It's just a chance for silly, jingoist Englishmen to think they can be xenophobic and get away with it because oh, it's only Wales. Knuckle drugging morons like Matt who feel the need to try and make the same stupid "point" over and over and over. Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and co' are in this league system - get over it. To be honest im no fan of The Welsh at all but Cardiff Swansea and Wrexham have been playing within the league pyramid for years and years , they are as entitled to promotion just as much as the rest. Glad Blackpool won yesterday though No it isn't a hypocritical view. Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham have been playing in the English leagues since Jesus was born. Celtic & Rangers have never and will never enter the English league system. Cardiff & Swanea have as much right to be in the topflight as the rest of us. I cringe everytime people say they shouldn't be allowed in the Premiership. Don't forget Newport County! A few points for the record: 1. I don't care either if Cardiff or Swansea play in the Premiership. In fact even feeling the need to make the point makes me cringe a bit. 2. I don't care that Holloway got promoted. Fair play to him.
