Guest NGoloMode Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 next season, Yann Kermorgant will be Fryatt's main striker partner and you'll see a better version of the Howard/Fryatt of 08/09 (I hope) This. Howard is getting on a bit now and Kermo was brought in to replace him. I cant agree with it being better than the Howard and Fryatt partnership though. We should just buy Jay Bothroyd for cheap now Cardiff need some money, he's a class target man.

buzzy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Steve Claridge is just trying to justify his ludicrous position as the BBC's football league pundit with some populist comment. Fact is, playing for more clubs than anybody else doesn't mean he knows more about football and as a broadcaster I find him pretty fooking hopeless. His attempt at hosting 6-0-6 the other day was a total disaster, and he seems to have just as little knowledge of the lower leagues as everyone else, and all the knowledge he has is based on his playing days and the 20 seconds of coverage each team gets on the Football League Show. As many others have said, get behind Kermorgant. I'm sure he feels just as terrible about it as the rest of us. claridge his an arshole his done nothing apart from slagging us off on the football league show even though he was an lcfc player. lets just get behind the team and yann next season
flanimal Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Oh. And Flanimal is probably the single biggest moron I've ever had the ill fortune of reading post on a forum. It's OK, you're probably the most pedantic, self-important, opinionated moron I've ever read on a forum.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 It's OK, you're probably the most pedantic, self-important, opinionated moron I've ever read on a forum. Not a good idea.
Salieri Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 It's OK, you're probably the most pedantic, self-important, opinionated moron I've ever read on a forum. Unfortunately flanimal, you're like a poor mans maddog. And that aint saying much.
flanimal Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Unfortunately flanimal, you're like a poor mans maddog. I like Maddog, so I can deal with that.
gazzer Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 we lost that tie in the first leg thanks to wayne brown. how anyone can single out individual penalty takers is beyond me when we fluked our way to a penalty shootout.
Mee Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 It's in the past now, we can dwell on it all we like but it's not going to change anything. We're all on about this penalty but we well to win 3-2 away. Strong performance in my opinion. Yes, it was not the best penalty in the world but dwelling on it is not going to change anything. Lets look forward now, we have a bright future, and hopefully we can do it next year.
Finnegan Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Don't worry, I'm sure Cardiff will be okay next season I hope so. They might be run by a willy puller and have a few dodgy players but I want to see our clubs do well, to me it's much the same attitude as most English people wanting English clubs to do well in the Champions League and I don't see much wrong with that. I'll happily stand here in the face of all the silly xenophobia and wish all of our clubs the best in trying to reach the "English" Premier League (that still cracks me up. Sorry Joe Ledley and co', you can't get promoted, that league's reserved for English Arsenal and English Chelsea!) Not a good idea. Unfortunately flanimal, you're like a poor mans maddog. And that aint saying much. I like Maddog, so I can deal with that. lol I love it when my arguing's done for me.

Fox92 Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I agree that he did something ridiculas and to be honest I don't like him that much now but the thing is. . We should have took advantage of the first leg and beat Cardiff at home. . Brown may have disrupted the balance and morale in that incident. . Steve Howard caused Cardiff alot of damage, but didn't play the first leg because of a needless red card. I do agree that Kermogrant was stupid but look at the other things.

Inter saved Italy a champs league spot despite having not a single italian in the team. at least the club is IN Italy. Are we to change it to the 'England & Wales Premier League' like the sell-out cricketers?
Finnegan Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Inter saved Italy a champs league spot despite having not a single italian in the team. at least the club is IN Italy. Are we to change it to the 'England & Wales Premier League' like the sell-out cricketers? Why call it "The England & Wales Premier League" when it isn't even called the English or England Premier League now? It's called "The Premier League" and due to sponsorship "The Barclay's Premier League." It's just a chance for silly, jingoist Englishmen to think they can be xenophobic and get away with it because oh, it's only Wales. Knuckle drugging morons like Matt who feel the need to try and make the same stupid "point" over and over and over. Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and co' are in this league system - get over it.

Hardly their fault. Thanks for putting me in the taxi after the U21 v O21 match though

We should have been playing away first leg because we finished 3 points ahead of Cardiff And I think we would have won the semis if that was the case. It's all the officials fault in my opinion. And Yann of course for his girls penalty

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Just me that couldn't give a shit if Cardiff / Swansea are Welsh and play in the English league system then?
C-man Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 sorry missed that one. they call it EPL in most other countries I've been to. They do. Really pisses me off, that, and I'm not sure why.
Sparky Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 To be honest im no fan of The Welsh at all but Cardiff Swansea and Wrexham have been playing within the league pyramid for years and years , they are as entitled to promotion just as much as the rest. Glad Blackpool won yesterday though
dandannieldanok Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Just me that couldn't give a shit if Cardiff / Swansea are Welsh and play in the English league system then? I couldn't give a shit about it either, but then again I can't really hold any valid opinion because I don't want Rangers and Celtic to play in the English leagues, so mine is a hypocritical point of view.
Koke Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 I couldn't give a shit about it either, but then again I can't really hold any valid opinion because I don't want Rangers and Celtic to play in the English leagues, so mine is a hypocritical point of view. No it isn't a hypocritical view. Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham have been playing in the English leagues since Jesus was born. Celtic & Rangers have never and will never enter the English league system. Cardiff & Swanea have as much right to be in the topflight as the rest of us. I cringe everytime people say they shouldn't be allowed in the Premiership.
Webbo Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Just me that couldn't give a shit if Cardiff / Swansea are Welsh and play in the English league system then? Nope. I couldn't care less.
Finnegan Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 sorry you missed my main point which was you were criticising Arsenal & Chelsea because there are no decent English players. Hardly their fault. Thanks for putting me in the taxi after the U21 v O21 match though I didn't miss the point at all - if anything you're missing mine/ours. I feel I've got little more to say though other than what Karim and Sparky already have. And, erm, do you have me confused with someone else or is my memory just really poor? sorry missed that one. they call it EPL in most other countries I've been to. So? That's not it's official title which is all that matters. Neither the Premier League nor The Football League specify that they are the "English" anything. It isn't the "English" league system. It is a league system contested by English and Welsh teams and has been since time began.
