Lillehamring Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 tigers beat saracens 33-27... best game i've watched in years
Edmund Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 It was a good game for the neutral but heart wrenching as a Tigers fan. What an ending though. Thoroughly deserved.

Matt Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 Very good, The ending was probably the most excited i've been about Rugby - Having said that I did jump on the bandwagon when England won the World Cup a few years ago.
purpleronnie Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 Rugby's rubbish. Just for ammo for those who think Leicesters a rugby city.
C-man Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 Gutted. Yawn. Delighted, nice way for some of the old guard to bow out!

Edmund Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Isn't that the effect when you lose against the run of play or similar sad event? all I meant was it was an emotional ending with Saracens scoring that pen right at the end. I thought it was all over at that point hence why I said it was a good game for the neutral but bi polar for the fans. Fantastic performance either way. Hats off to the lads and two fingers to the rugby union for their crappy play off system.
Ultra Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Congratulations to Tigers on winning a classic final. They were a credit to themselves, the fans and the city. As half the squad are now off on international tours, there won't be a victory parade this week. But talks are taking place with the club to arrange a suitable civic event at around the start of next season.
Sparky Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 They dont need a civic reception they win the fooker every year, save it up for a big one when they next win the Heineken cup!

Does it come with being the Mayor-to-be that you must post in massive, bold lettering to try and make yourself a little more visible? Tone it down, Colin.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 Fantastic day out, even though two tickets cost me £180. We were brilliant, and so were Sarries. A truly memorable game, and tthe best I have seen at Twickenham. Both sets of supporters did themselves proud. I have to admit to downing two large bottles of brandy, that day, - and walking under a police horse! It was my partner's turn to enjoy it this year, and my wifes turn again next year. Long may it last.
