Dan Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Alright Just wondering if we're still in the Northern section for the First Round draw of the League Cup this year? Anyone know? Cheers.
Asha Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Love the 1st round. Am I right in thinking we HAVE to face someone either in L2 or the 'bottom half' of L1 based on last year? The dream would be Notts County away, but anything away would be decent.
Edmund Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 I'm pretty certain we don't enter the competition until the second round due to our high finish last season.
Ashley Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 The fixture list comes out next week on thursday dosent it?
The Doctor Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 I'm pretty certain we don't enter the competition until the second round due to our high finish last season. IIRC thats premiership teams only and the ones in europe enter in round 3.
Dan Posted 7 June 2010 Author Posted 7 June 2010 Normally they put Prem 18th and 19th through with a bye, so that'd be Burnley and Hull out of it. Then it's the 16 highest northern sides against the 16 lowest northern, and the 17 highest southern against the 17 lowest southern, I think.
Fox92 Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 I always wish for Notts County and this year will be no different.
Edmund Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 IIRC thats premiership teams only and the ones in europe enter in round 3. Oh right, have they changed the rules recently? I must admit I'm going by football manager
Brainy Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Oh right, have they changed the rules recently? I must admit I'm going by football manager Thats why you shouldnt always act so smug. and don't start abusing me via PM.
Dylan Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Draw is on the 16th i think. Everyone in the football league apart from Burnley and Hull.
h1210 Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Anyone at Home. Why? It's potentially a chance to visit somewhere we normally wouldn't
Jay Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Anyone at Home. you are joking surely? get a home draw against a team like Lincoln, you pay a fortune for your ticket, they only open one stand, no atmosphere OR you could be drawn away against a team like Lincoln have a capacity gate and a great night out at a ground you don't get to go to very often
Guest Bilo Posted 7 June 2010 Posted 7 June 2010 Somewhere decent and accessible from Lincolnshire away please. Lincoln, Notts County, Chesterfield at a push.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 somewhere away please preferably somewhere I haven't been yet something similar to accrington stanley away a couple of years ago
Corky Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 From a selfish point of view I would prefer it if we were in the southern section, but oh well. Notts County away wouldn't be bad, we'll get a League 2 side at home though.
