Nigel Pearson to Hull ?

Recommended Posts

Milan has got to get the blame if this is true - things like this don't just happen and as previously said, this is suicidal so close to pre-season

Spot on imo, Milan will have ALOT of explaining to do...

Either Pearson's being greedy or Mandaric has been a complete twat. I would imagine a mixture of both.

What if Pearson nicked all our good players for Hull? I've got a bad feeling he'd rob the likes of Hobbs, King, Morrison, Fryatt?

They are broke mate.

Good point bro.

Parachute Payments tho?

Yes, it is a vital blow so close to pre-season after the job he has done but no man is bigger than the club, he isn't irreplaceable.

The problem is he is. We've not had a manager like him since MON. Players like Hobbs will now want to jump ship.

No, Pearson has seen no money coming and has decided obviously to see what else is coming along. He's probably got something in the contract that means there won't be much compensation due either. You've got a premier league manager there mate, and we're right back in the sh&t

right, ok i hadn't realised it was more a case of that.

that is the biggest surprise, we were all convinced it'd be an unattached manager, i.e. paul hart, mowbray etc. and shocked we'd be willing to fork out compensation. if it is true apparently he's bringing backroom staff, too.

Define greedy. Whilst Hull might have a bit more cash than us considering their parachute payments, I doubt what they can afford to offer him in wages/player budget is astronomical. Probably no more than he deserves considering his talent.

Still, he can get fvcked if he leaves though.

More like it!

Talk of nicking our players is a tad far fetched at the moment, however the likes of King - he is a leicester lad through and through, so unless Hull offer some ridiculous wages I cant see him going. Besides Hull isn't exactly the most glamorous of places is it?

This just can't be true!!

What kind of shite are we likely to end up with as manager now? I can only assume we'd be gunning for an out of work manager due to Milan's reluctance to spend anything. It could be someone like Alan Curbishley, which wouldn't be too bad - on the other hand it could be Reid, Gregory, Megson etc

and TBH I am just as gutted that Steve Walsh (not our centre back) will be joining if that's true - he has been brilliant at scouting players, hardly made a bad signing in the last 2 years.

we are skint, we won't be making any signings, just trying to keep hold of those who are useful and not on the highest wages, desperate to get rid of those that are the overpaid waste of spaces. thats why i'm so shocked we are willing to pay compensation etc.

Their in debt, they have £12mil a year not to spend on transfer fees. Out of that £12mil, they'll be lucky to get £2mil a year for transfers, and we'll want more than that alone for just one of the players mentionned.

I doubt Hull will knick our players but other clubs might. Players like Hobbs who look up to Pearson may see their future elsewhere.

I just still can't get my head around why he would pick Hull. They just got relegated. Not a lot of money.

While at Leicester he has a project going. A very good one at that. Just wondering , if in the case that he does go, what reception he would get when we play them.

He'll only cost you about £300k I think, a price worth paying for the standard of manager you'll get compared to the likes of Paul Hart.

Can see us going for someone like Brown, Hart, Dowie, Ince, etc now if he does go. Would Love Chrissy to get the job though.

Losing Steve Walsh will be a MASSIVE loss too.

Gutted if he goes but as above.
