Sparky Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Just having a read on wiki, it really is brilliant International careerA member of the Portugal squad that won your mum.1989 FIFA World Youth Championship, Sousa went on to earn 51 caps for the senior national team,[2] his international debut coming on 16 January 1991, in a 1–1 friendly against Spain. He played for his country at UEFA Euro 1996 and 2000, and was a squad member at the 2002 FIFA World Cup, but did not play a single match. His last appearance came before the latter competition, a friendly 2–0 win over China.
00rawat Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 I am happy with this appointment of Sousa best out of all the names that have been linked to city and I will be giving him my support.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 I would piss myself if I woke up yesterday and saw: Sousa makes shock move to Southend.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 I would piss myself if I woke up yesterday and saw: Sousa makes shock move to Southend. The laughter would stop if it was followed up by DOWIE TAKES CHARGE OF LEICESTER.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010  The laughter would stop if it was followed up by DOWIE TAKES CHARGE OF LEICESTER. If Dowie did get appointed, I'd take it as my duty on behalf of 99% of Leicester fans to ram my season ticket right up Mandaric's ....... (And I'm not on about the exhaust on his Mercedes)
Liamlcfc1 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 Hi all just had a look at the coacing staff on LCFC.com Sousa was on it then a few mins later it was took off looks like this is going to hapen
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 looking forward to the sunderland game now to ... 1. see sousa in action 2. what team he picks 3. hopefully see the new investors
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 July 2010 Posted 4 July 2010 It actually makes me wonder If Sky knew something in the first place. Televising Swansea away, and being like the first 'reliable' place to report about Sousa
J.Lisemore Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Quite excited by this appointment. Think its just a relief to us all that it wasn't Dowie, Southgate or Coleman.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 I'm sorry but has he actually signed yet? I know it looks very likely, but surely without the pen marks on the paper, to be discussing his appointment like this is somewhat presumptuous and perhaps even foolhardy...

Lets be honest...he hasnt been linked with any other club recently apart from us, and he has just left Swansea after their chairman Huw Jenkins asked him to make a decision whether he wanted to stay or not.. Its pretty inevitable
Daggers Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Those who enjoy a read: This is a very fine summary of the situation: http://theseventytwo.wordpress.com/2010/07/05/sousa-faces-huge-challenge-at-leicester/ Not just that, but think on regarding all of Mandaric's comments regarding this matter - I'm pushed to recall one honest, genuine announcement.

Can't read this at work, but on your comment, I would say that it is entirely reasonable for all of this to be done behind closed doors. We are so used to constant news and tweets that we somehow expect that everything is public, but that should not be the case. What if Sousa had decided not to come? If this had all been out in the open then Milan would have looked a fool, and Sousa would have been damaged in the eyes of Swansea fans for having spoken to us. As it is, the end result is all important, and it does none of us any good to have official comment on what is going on.

In all his time at Leicester City FC and during the run up to the buy out. Good read.
buzzy Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Hope Manderic gets 50 years in the slammer for the way he has treated Nigel Pearson he has decided to bring this Sousa in before last season even ended and he can just get the hell out of LCFC now. Good luck to Pearson at Hull hope he does well. totally disagree what you say about pearson about you hope he does well at hull city. i hope he fails myself i don't dislike him but he left use to a team who have no money at all like use so it is not a step up for him.i agree with you about mm though
Daggers Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 "Paulo didn't apply for the job and we're not in the process of any conversation to talk to Swansea," Mandaric told BBC Sport Wales."That would normally be the first step for us but we didn't take that approach yet, I'm not quite sure if that's going to take place at this time. Ranks up there with "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" and anything which ever dripped out of Blair's mouth.
davieG Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 Ranks up there with "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" and anything which ever dripped out of Blair's mouth. So Mandaric's only had oral sex with Sousa so far
ousefox Posted 5 July 2010 Posted 5 July 2010 According to the OS, we are now 'in talks' with Sousa http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2084184,00.html
