Mack Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 I am a massive jebend and should probably not be such a xenophobic nobhead when certain moderators are lurking. Though, yeah, Cardiff's finances are a joke.

Finnegan Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 It is strange that they owe Motherwell £165K yet manage to be able to sign Bellamy I don't necessarily disagree, though we don't actually know that Bellamy is costing them much if anything at all. Man City probably have the money to literally pay his wages and just be happy that he's keeping fit somewhere.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 It is strange that they owe Motherwell £165K yet manage to be able to sign Bellamy There should be a rule (if there isn't one already), that clubs cannot sign any players if they have outstanding debts on other transfers.

Man City probably have the money to literally pay his wages and just be happy that he's keeping fit somewhere. Even if this scenario was the case, it calls into question the fairness of the league. Whilst one man does not make a team, Bellamy, on his form last season, is good enough to play for a top four club. So Man City are heavily subsidising a club we are in competition with by loaning them a top quality player. Quite frankly, it makes a mockery of the league.

Think "makes a mockery" is slight hyperbole but do generally agree, it certainly isn't just.
Mack Posted 17 August 2010 Author Posted 17 August 2010 If you are so anal about the sheep shagging ****s go and support them you two bob ****! Is that a big enough bite for you?
Head Honcho Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 There should be a rule (if there isn't one already), that clubs cannot sign any players if they have outstanding debts on other transfers. Then transfers as we know them would cease altogether. I doubt any deal between the top clubs these days is paid in full at the time of the signing.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Motherwell could have missed out on transfer targets because they haven't received this money.
Finnegan Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 If you are so anal about the sheep shagging ****s go and support them you two bob ****! Is that a big enough bite for you? It might have been a little bit strong but I would have thought I was making it pretty clear you should probably find another website if you want to vent your prejudices. Or just keep having them deleted, as I was originally going to do with the whole thread - though I felt that a little unfair given that, beneath the stupidity, you were making a valid point. And, no, I'm not "being anal" - I am one of those "sheep shagging ****s" and I'm fed up of having to put up with mouthbreathing cretins acting like it's alright to be as abusive to the Welsh, Scots and Irish as they want just because we're neighbours. Banter is one thing, being an abusive dick is another. I bit my tongue and put up with it after the play-offs because I knew tensions were running high and most people didn't mean it. I'm not just going to sit here and be abused by proxy now.

There's is no probably about it Man Citys owner said when he took over they were his toy and he could buy ambrovich if he wanted to. Cardiff are still a joke.
FoxyPV Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 I'm intrigued by the original post now but the whole thing's a bit of a joke.
Webbo Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 How many goals did Waghorn score last season? How many games did he win for us? Loans are part of football, no point moaning about it.

Heh and some of the people moaning now probably need to remember back to our promotion season under Micky Adams.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Heh and some of the people moaning now probably need to remember back to our promotion season under Micky Adams. But we had a transfer embargo so we couldn't have gone and signed Craig Bellamy.
FoxyPV Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 How many goals did Waghorn score last season? How many games did he win for us? Loans are part of football, no point moaning about it. There's a bit of a difference between a young player getting experience and an established pro who tore the best defences in the PL apart last season.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 I'd like to say I dislike Cardiff not because they're Welsh, but because their fanbase has too high a cvnts-decent fan ratio. Much like Leeds, Millwall and Forest. I'd be happy to see this loan go hilariously, spectacularly tits up with their finances.
C-man Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Why are we so seemingly obsessed with Cardiff? There are more threads dedicated to them than there are to DJ Campbell. So they beat us in a playoff and are in a bit of debt. Get over it.

So they beat us in a playoff and are in a bit of debt. Get over it. Must admit it's getting a bit obsessive. It could turn into the Leeds situation of the League One season if we aren't careful. That said, this signing is irritating as it gives them a bit of an unfair advantage over clubs who haven't been so careless. But I agree that I wouldn't be unhappy if this turned out to be the last thread on Cardiff fucking City on the forum.
ibbosuk Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Cardiff City's signing of Craig Bellamy, has at a stroke virtually sealed one of the promotion places for the welsh club as far as I am concerned. When asked who was paying his reported 98,000 pw wages Bellamy replied "Manchester City" The fact is Manchester City are only to willing to pay Bellamys wages and shuffle him out of the Premiership and away from there rivals. Clearly Bellamy is one of the top Premiership players but deemed a "loose cannon" by Man City and has not made there squad. Obviously Bellamy is very happy to play for his home town club and not take a drop in wages (Who Wouldn't ?) So Cardiff City (already one of the favourites for the championship) now have one of the top premier league players for one season for free NOTHING!! It strikes me as there is something very very unfair about this situation given the fact that Cardiff owe the taxman millions, and Motherwell have had to threaten to send in the bailiffs to get there £200,00 owed to them. Cardiff City are riding the perfect championship storm.
Lillehamring Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 because you have such a good track record of predictions
Wdywd Posted 17 August 2010 Posted 17 August 2010 Why have all the posts in this thread disappeared? Can't really be bothered to point out how ridiculous that post is again.
