LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 25 April 2011 Posted 25 April 2011 I went to see Coalville Town win 6-0 before the Leicester game and going wembley stadium to see them WIN the FA vase trophy
Fox You Forest Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 I went to see Coalville Town win 6-0 We're off Staffordshire tonight to watch them play Heath Hayes( beat them 7-0 not long back), take top spot if they win with one game left against 20th place Alvechurch on Saturday.

If they win the league, will they move to the Evostik division(that Barwell are currently in)? Thanks.

purpleronnie Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Yes but barwell got promoted this season. Still a big ask for coalville 4 games in a week and 3 away and they have to win them all. 2 down 2 to go.
Fox You Forest Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Coalville won 4-1, Murdock scored an absolute cracker, anyone want to buy a Donny ticket.
purpleronnie Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Great win for coalville one more win and the titles their's, for me the next league game is bigger than the wembley final. I just hope they thrash both of them, what a double that would be. FC United won 2-0 and face colwyn bay in the play off final. I believe FC suffered some injuries so it will be very tough for them.
MC Prussian Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Coalville won 4-1, Murdock scored an absolute cracker, anyone want to buy a Donny ticket. Funny thing is they pipped Tipton for the top spot - both on 97 points, but Coalville boast a much better goal difference. All they need now is a win against Alvechurch on Saturday and they're promoted.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 but Coalville boast a much better goal difference. The left back bagged his 20th of the season last night.
BoneDog Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 144 goals for. Excellent. How many leagues below Blue Square North are they at the moment? Is it two promotions they need to get there?
purpleronnie Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 144 goals for. Excellent. How many leagues below Blue Square North are they at the moment? Is it two promotions they need to get there? If you include their current division its 3.
BoneDog Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Ah right, for some reason I thought that if they got promoted this season then they were only one below the BSN.
purpleronnie Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Afraid not, I reckon they could cope easily in the next league up. But without decent investment not sure how much further they could go.
BoneDog Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Yessssss you beauty, they're up now. 8-0 at the minute. Definitely agree about the investment Ronnie, it's so hard to make those last couple of leaps into the top level of non-league. Is this the highest they've been in their history?
Matt Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Will be going to watch Nuneaton in the playoffs I think.
BoneDog Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Yeah Nuneaton lost today and moved down to 6th but Eastwood, who finished 4th, have been barred from the play-offs for silly reasons in my opinion, so Nuneaton are in. I feel bad for Eastwood, must be horrible.

Jeeeezzz 8-0 So happy for Adam, top bloke! p.s, Do you have the final score (hoping its not a 9-8 loss ) EDIT: Found it 9-0 Makes their goal difference +100

purpleronnie Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Amazing, have to say I thought the FA vase truimphs would hinder their chances, and that looked likely after 2 poor defeats but they won the final 6 games including 4 win's in one week. Just the vase left for a truely amazing season.

I feel bad for Eastwood, must be horrible. Didn't actually realise this. Well they've got the home leg on Tuesday night so might pop down, i'll see. I guess if it works the same as our league (3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th) then I guess we have Telford, which I would think will be quite high profile as it kicked off at Telford last time. Also if we finished 5th (The lowest playoff position) we won't have the final at home, Isn't it whoever finished higher in the league in the final has the game at home, or is there a neutral venue for it?
purpleronnie Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 I heard coalville have sold around 2,500 for the final so far. Not bad I suppose. But I can't help but wonder that number would be a lot higher had they promted it more. They went into a supermarket this week and sold all the tickets they had plus All the merchandise, this sort of thing should have happend all over the place from the moment they got into the final. I reckon that number could have been doubled.
BoneDog Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 I'm surprised they've only sold 2,500 Nuneaton Telford is a tasty tie and I'm hoping for a Nuneaton v Guiseley final in the BSN. Not bothered about the BSS because I don't know anything about the teams in that nowadays.
BoneDog Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Also if we finished 5th (The lowest playoff position) we won't have the final at home, Isn't it whoever finished higher in the league in the final has the game at home, or is there a neutral venue for it? The finals are played at the ground of the team who finished higher in the BSS and BSN. The Premier has the final at a neutral ground. I just checked and this years final is at the City of Manchester Stadium!

Hope Nuneaton do it mate. I quite fancy Boston to do Guiseley in the other tie, and then presumably it'd be Boston-Nuneaton at York Street for the final. May put in an appearance with it being local.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 100 points +100 goal diff. Gotta be happy with that And now Coalville can win the double
