JimmyJam Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I don't start topics very often but I have just had a massive argument with my mate about this. My best mate is convinced we should sack Sousa already. There are so many reasons why this is ridiculous. [*]We have played 3 games, 2 of which are against promotion favourites. Sousa wants to play completely different football to NP and it is going to take time for the team to adjust to it could be 5/6 games before we see any massive improvement. Leicester like all clubs work best with STABILITY its no fluke we got promoted and made the playoffs under the stability of one manager and I believe we can do it again under Sousa he just needs time. We need to buy in some more players who suit the system that Sousa wants to play. The Defense is a slight worry but I feel its a lack in CONFIDENCE more then quality. Basically I am not worried, I can't pretend i am happy about us losing and sitting bottom of the table but things can only get better and I believe they will.
Zingari Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 wouldn;t argue with any of that , but do try to get a more sensible mate
FrankieADZ Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Nice 1 I completey agree with what you've said there.
buzzy Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 i totally agree with you about the defence but after palace they seemed to play a lot better as a unit. my big worry is conrad logan his played 2 games and conceded 6 goals . does he comuncate with the defence because i personally i don't rate him so i feel a new goalkeeper is needed. as for mate to say sousa should be sacked it's so funny 3 games tell you're mate to go and watch park football until he comes to his senses
Webbo Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting that we sack Sousa yet, but in the circumstances of the 4 games so far this season it's not unreasonable that people are concerned.
dpjfox Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 i am just home and witnessed that crap today, i was expecting to see psssing football, i cannnot think of any positives, that said i would stick with Sousa for a few more games yet, Not his fault weve got Oakley Howard and DN i could name more but them 3 were shite!
Edmund Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 Stability definitely plays a big role in any clubs success, You only have to look at Manchester United and Arsenal to see that. The annoying thing is we finally had a bit of stability at this club over the last two seasons after directly being relegated at a cost of chopping and changing managers. It's no coincidence that we had our most successful period with the same manager at the helm. We've already changed once this season the last thing we want is another repeat of three seasons ago.

Thracian Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Of course Soussa should be given more time as manager but Finnegan should be appointed as his assistant. He'd find some excuse for yesterday's shit.

Oakley was pedestrian, King had his worst ever game in a City shirt and DJ was increasingly frustrated at his lack of supply. The only players that did well were Danny, who had no support whatsoever and Wellens who tried his best.... we were shocking and, unless something changes radically... we are gonna struggle - confidence stems from the manager... and from what I've seen so far Sousa doesnt exude it... Stability is crucial only when you have the right manager at the helm..it was clear from the start that Pearson was that man...Sousa aint...
Tilley Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 'FUCK OFF SOUSA, YOU FOREIGN CUNT' Try telling the chap that shouted this that Sousa needs time. On a serious note though, the way he stood dejected, arms folded and silent was worrying.
Aumski Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 look we just wernt good enough, remember o'neil. pritty much same thing. back sousa. in SOUSA we trust. if we don't you better get 6.50 for ya league 1 badges ready.

The bald bloke who was saying 'let me sort them out the bunch of useful cunts' I just thought, what an idiot.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 In football terms it is remarkably hard to find a manager who brings success. Milan had found one in Nigel Pearson. For whatever reason (Thai's wanting a big name...etc) he's been allowed to move on. That was a mistake, highlighted by Pearson stating he was surprised at how Milan stood aside and let him go etc... If he sacrificed Nigel for these investors, that was a mistake too. Having said that no point reflecting on that, it's in the past. Need to support, and see how Paulo can bring success here, because if he doesn't pick up a few results soon I can see him being sacked in 2/3 months... It's the Milan way unfortunately.
AmericanScott Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 This is why i didn't want to come on here today to read some people's comments about Sousa. Give the guy some time for fook sakes! Yeah, we had a bad performance against recently relegated Burnley who are promotion contenders. There's 43 more games to go. No need to hit the alarm bells, yet. Here's to 3 big points against Reading.
FoxyPV Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 The biggest cause for concern yesterday was the inability of the team to pass the ball to a teammate.
Jay Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Stability is vital for the club and especially the players. I can't help but think all this takeover nonsense has the players concerned, with new owners spouting off about how much money they are going to invest in the team, all these millions put aside for players it must have some effect on the players. In any way of life when changes happen at your workplace you are concerned about your own future, with all this talk from the new owners you can't help but sense the players fear for their own future and are not sure where they will be in 2weeks or even if they can expect to playing football, and this can and probably is effecting them on a day to day basis.
