Thracian Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Sounds like the perfect opportunity for Fez. Piece of cake for a job if you don't mind following the party line. Great chance to make lasting contacts within the game and to enjoy the glamour of being associated with a half-decent football set-up. I remember a friend of mine, Tony Green, writing off and being offered the job as assistant secretary at Chelsea. He loved it and never looked back. He'd previously been secretary of a local side, Kings Athletic, whoever they were!
Guest Bilo Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I'll only be really interested when I see the words; Vacancy for Health & Safety Officer.

Thracian Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Go for it Thracian I'm so "tame" last time I was down there with a pen in my hand they banned me from the Press box!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 I really appreciate the thoughts but I don't think it's quite right for a fan. The ugly inside and all that. Maybe one day. I've got a job I'm extremely happy with and I'm able to do all my writing on the side as a nice pastime.

Sure - but go for it anyway, the interview process would likely be quite a laughable experience...... think of it as a free tour of the club by the 'all new' directorate........... do a piece of under cover journalism on the interview process and the club as an 'equal opps' employer
skinnydipper Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 I'm so "tame" last time I was down there with a penis in my hand they banned me from the Press box! Quite right too

Thracian Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 is this what's known as being damned with faint praise ? Haha... I think anyone considering applying would have to be sure they could accept the terms and conditions for the rewards on offer. Professionalism requires it all the time. Okay I didn't always act professionally cos, yes, I did put a brand new office car in a banger race without asking the editors permission! But hell, I was young, I was impulsive and he did get a decent story!.

easilee Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Stringer! For the love of God please go for this job. And don't screw it up like you did on the tellybox.
Jackirius Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 I would apply but i doubt they would employ a 17 year old with only a GCSE in English
Onions Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I've a degree in media, and I'm sure if I offered Histon FC £10 they would claim I worked for them for a few years, they are that desperate..... This job is in the bag
Thracian Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I would apply but i doubt they would employ a 17 year old with only a GCSE in English Judging by some aspects of City's media service I assumed that's the norm!
