Now for the loan deals

He's probably referring to Utaka.

Utaka, by his own admission is on over £25,000.00 per week with another year on his contract. ( Some reports say it could be a lot lot more ). I'd be amazed if we went for him at that price per week, even if it was a free transfer in January. However, is he good enough to pay half his salary on a loan deal for the rest of the season?? Anybody know? Pompey do need financial help.

WBA will loan him out. Not scored that much, but could be worth a shot, still think were one striker short.

I'm not sure whether i'd want him or not, as his scoring record isn't the best, but what does everyone think?

I read somewhere that David Healy is looking for a move from sunderland. think he would be a good loan signing.

No thanks.

Bit of an enigma, for some reason he can only turn it on when playing for his country.

underland’s forgotten striker David Healy wants a loan switch to the Championship – so he can taste first-team football again.

The 31-year-old has been left in the shadows by Black Cats boss Steve Bruce following the arrival of record £13million signing Asamoah Gyan.

And after a starring role in Northern Ireland’s surprise 1-0 Euro 2012 win over Slovenia there should be no shortage of takers for Healy.

Last night I watched the Jamie Carragher Testamonial on the LFC station. Liverpool have got one hell of a player called Nathan Eccelstone. This boy has it all he is quick scored a great goal and was doing stepovers like Robinho. He can play centre midfield left wing or as a second striker. Can't see it under happening under Sousa, but if Pearson was still here im sure hes the type of player that would of been scouted by Steve Walsh.

Ecclestone really isn't anything special.

We were being linked with Crystal Palace player Neil Danns before they got Edgar Davids. Someone has told me that we are now after him again, this time obviously for a loan deal. My mate ain't a bullsh**er, and does not make things up. I don't know his source, but there must be one. Anybody heard, and do we want him anyway?

they didn't want to get rid of him for money. why would they do it for free (just wages)

That is why I qualified the comment with 'before they signed Edgar Davids' - their situation could conceivably have changed. They could then play the Dutchman in midfield instead of left back. Furthermore if we do actually want him, and he wants to come to us clubs sometimes act on the basis that there is no point in keeping an unhappy player.

NB I am not saying I want him with us anyway!

Apparently the source for this rumour is today's Daily Mail!

Naughton is twice the player of Neilson and Lamey so yes.

Would like Rose too but he is similar to Dyer and I wouldn't want to see Lloyd dropped.

I personally wouldn't bother with Cudicini.

Nearly made a new thread about Naughton, forgot about the loan thread :)

But certainly, right back is not a position anyone is happy with so he must be worth a shot at getting on loan?
