MC Prussian Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 My girlfriend and her housemates saw Darius Vassell training alone on vicky park on numerous occasions earlier this year... not sure what is going on with him exactly. didnt follow his blog closely enough. what exactly went down with his turkish adventure? would be a hilarious signing. i would love it. Apparently, he's had massive troubles settling in with Ankaragücü. It's obvious when you can't speak Turkish and little other English-speaking people around in that area. In addition, the club's faced (or still faces) financial troubles as a consequence of the Ankaraspor Scandal - from what I gather, Vassell had to leave the hotel he was living in because the Ankaragücü could no longer afford to pay for it. He's a very homesick man who needs to return to England. For his own safety.

As an Arseanl player i'm expecting him to be good on the floor, so a nice slick surface would be perfect. Hopefully if he joins us, Leicester will see some rain man.

foxoffderby Posted 5 September 2010 Posted 5 September 2010 Last night I watched the Jamie Carragher Testamonial on the LFC station. Liverpool have got one hell of a player called Nathan Eccelstone. This boy has it all he is quick scored a great goal and was doing stepovers like Robinho. He can play centre midfield left wing or as a second striker. Can't see it under happening under Sousa, but if Pearson was still here im sure hes the type of player that would of been scouted by Steve Walsh.

He may have as good a future as Waggy, maybe even better - and he wouldn't cost as much in the January window. If the rumours about Matty and a swap for Zayatte have some substance to them, we could do a lot worse than Vaughan. Separate to all of that, I still think the kid from Barca or someone similar may come in on loan or maybe that Pompey bloke.
