Burleyfox Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 If you look back over the history of the club it is easy to come up with names of TOP CLASS players in most positions:- Goalkeeper - Banks, Shilton, Wallington, Walker Full Backs - Whitworth, Rodrigues, Rofe, Nish Midfield - Weller, Mc Allister, Izzet, Lennon, Glover, Gibson Strikers - Lineker, Smith, Clarke, Worthington why is it that names don't spring forward at centre back?
lweston Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 Yeah we have but have never won anything so really it counts for nothing which is annoying because City are quite a big club without winning lots of trophies, maybe add 1 FA cup to the clubs history we would be in the top twenty biggest clubs in England i feel

Izzet may have not been picked but Elliott in his prime was amazing! who could forget those 2 goals against bradford - i think the 3rd was from cottee? Great goals!
