Yeah, we're doing fantastically at the back with them.

At the end of the day, If we played Moreno elsewhere (preferably on the bench) .. and played our ACTUAL centre halfs at centre back, we may, just may get somewhere..

Morrison is decent at this level which he has already proved. Hobbs also. Moreno isn't the best centre back we've ever had but he's decent cover. I feel if we sign to many defenders players such as Parkes and Morrison will in turn by forced out the club. Also we still have Tunchev to come back if he ever plays again.

Right-back we are fine with Lamey and Neilson.

Left-back we have Berner and Kennedy.

The simple solution to the centre back problem is to play Michael Morrison, a CENTRE BACK at centre back instead of two foot fcuking tall Moreno. Which leaves us with Parkes, Vitor and Tunchev at the back. That's enough, I have faith in Morrison and Parkes to do the job.

I agree that Morrison should play at Centre back but I must point out that Morrison is 6ft tall and Moreno is 6ft 1inc.

Also Vitor is only a loanee, Parkes is untested and I doubt whether we'll ever see Tunchev play again. So if Parkes doesnt make the grade and the worst fears about Tunchev are realised, that leaves us with Hobbs and Morrison.

Shittu is a beast of a man at 6ft 3, has experience at both Championship and Premiership level and at 30 has at least 3 years.

If we signed him for nothing on a 2 year deal, I fail to see any disadvantages.

Is this the same Michael Morrison who had a hand in 2 of the 3 goals against Palace?

It would be nice if he were to succeed at this level, but he needs to go away and work on his game, we need some experience alongside Hobbs.

I didn't know that about the heights but if that's true, it shows just how good Morrison is in the air/Moreno is awful in the air.

Fair enough, but Vitor and Tunchev are expected back within a month or so from what I've heard. I really doubt that Tom Parkes would be sitting on the bench if he was no good. An England under-19 and under-17 international I believe playing with the likes of Gibbs and Wilshere. He had a great season on loan to Burton last year.

It's really all if's and but's.

In response to HondradaRaposa: The same Morrison that has performed so succesfully in that position in parts of the last two seasons? The Morrison that was solid there against Leeds? How about the Moreno who was at fault for both goals against Reading and contributed heavily to any defensive flaws in recent matches?

i think we deffo need a new DC. i do think we will have too many defenders but i dont see any other option but a new player. these are my reasons

Tunchev: even when fit wouldnt get a game....think about how long he has been left out for. definitely wont be the same Tunchev we had in league 1 and to make things worse for him he would have to adapt to the championship, a big difference from league 1.

Morrison: great player who has proven him self at this level. however just doesnt do to well partnering Hobbs. play him at RB!!!!!!!

Vitor: possibly a great player but not experienced enough and Hobbs doesnt need another young'n partnering him, would be a good sub though.

Moreno - cant play to well in the DC position shows great quals in DMC though.

Parkes - good but too young. still a prospect for the future.

We desperatly need another wayne brown. someone who can lead, oraganise the defence and has bags of experience!

everyone seems to want last years team to play bcoz they think we will start winning. aint as simple as that.. our whole game has changed... players which succesed last year may fail this year with sousas kind of game.... oh let me guess this is were u say sousa out bcoz he may let people go who cannot play his type of footy ?
