STUHILL Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme - 5 He never seems to have much to do but when he does, it's usually picking the ball out the net. Poor in the air. Get Weale back asap Nelison - 5 He got in to great positions, always looking for the ball BUT he just doesn't have the quality to back up his effort. So many poor crosses Hobbs - 8 Thought he was outstanding today! From start to finish. Committed in defence and even attack. Tried to get things going. Awesome player Morrison- 6.5 Would have scored highly but both goals were his fault, and he even admitted so after. However, him and Hobbs are still our best partnership at the moment. Berner - 6 Pretty solid at the back, but didn't offer as much in attack or as an outlet like Neilson did, however, I always feel more confident with him in defence. Wellens - 5 Seen some harsh marks for Wellens. He did his usual missed passes but I thought he played ok today on the whole, without being spectacular Kings - 6 Great to see King almost playing as a striker. Just didn't get many chances today but overall, a solid game. Oakley - 6 Got stuck in and passed the ball quite well, without ever being a threat. Abe could be taking his place soon, so he needs to step it up. Dyer - 5.5 Never got in to the game. Not sure if that was QPR's tactics or Sousa's fault. Shame, because we were crying out for pace after he went off. Fryatt - 4 So frustrating. He gets in to the right positions but how many touches do you need! SHOOT FFS!!! Didn't even try to challenge for some headers, not what fans want to see. We need another striker!! Waghorn - 5.5 Full of effort but he was playing midfield for most the game. He needs to be up there and would have been more effective in Fryatt's role. Gallagher - 5 Reminds me of Stephen Hughes. Too lightweight. Very skillful, but not fast, can't beat his man, can't header and wasn't much use when came on, although he had a few tame shots on goal and knows a good pass Howard - 6.5 What an impact sub, got the whole team and crowd going! Won every header as soon as he came on and really inspired the team to push on until they scored the 2nd. If only he could score goals too!! This game demonstrated more than ever, how we are crying out for another striker! I know I keep saying James Vaughan but, a similar player like that on loan is so badly needed! I don't know what is wrong with Fryatt, lack of confidence? Unsettled? Lazy? Unfit?? Who bloody knows but at the moment, he isn't good enough and we can't waste another 5 games trying to get his confidence back because there were a few, not loads, but definitely 2 or 3 chances that he should have hit first time instead of taking 100 touches and then being crowded out. AND I don't care if you are a 2ft midget, if the ball comes your way, you jump and challenge for that header!!! As for Warnock and QPR. The first 10-15 minutes, I thought we could lose 3 or 4-0. They were truly scary when attacking, but I knew if we could keep it tight and to 1-0, then we could get a result but I didn't realise are striking would be so inept. As for their CHEATING!! Well, it was awful and the players should be ashamed of their time wasting! All and all, a poor day, but I have seen us play a lot worse and win!! Striker desperately needed!!!
Ash Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme 5 Neilson 6 Hobbs 6 Morrison 5 Berner 5 Wellens 5 Oakley 5 King 6 Dyer 6 Fryatt 5 Waghorn 6 Subs: Howard 7 Gallagher 3
Donut Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme 3- Inspires no confidence in me at all. Picked the net out the ball twice, distribution was crap, doesnt look as if his communication with the back four is good Neilson 5- Plenty of effort but no quality. Getting up and down the pitch well and providing much needed width, and has shown great improvement this season, but wasnt great today. Hobbs 7- Our best defender. was a physical presence, won his aerial battles in the main and generally looked pretty solid Morrison 6- Had he not stuffed up for the goal it would have been higher, but a total lack of awareness for the second goal ruined an otherwise decent performance. Berner 5- Not showing last seasons form, looked pretty laboured and seemed to mis-time a few tackles today Dyer 6- Lots of endeavour, and can count himself unlucky to be hauled off Wellens 2- Had a total mare, couldnt keep possession, couldnt pass, dreadful Oakley 6- Reasonable. Wanted to get stuck in King- 5 Totally shackled by Shaun Derry who i thought was extremely impressive in the QPR midfield Waghorn 3- Inneffective, but i cant blame him, he looks totally out of position where Sousa is playing him Fryatt 4- Was abysmal. looks short of confidence and fitness, and was never a threat in front of goal at any point. SUBS Gally - no rating, Howard 6.5 for a ton of effort put in and the constant battering he took today..........WHERE THE HELL WAS ABE??????????????????????
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme - 6 - Didn't have much to do since the opposition barely played any football. Neilson - 5 - No outlet for him down the right when going forward. So sat back and looked his usual self, which isn't great. Hobbs - 6.5 - Just about the best performer on the pitch. Morrison - 4 - Liability at centre-half. At fault for both goals. Perfect reason to start Vitor now. Berner - 5 - Looked out of sorts. Oakley - 7 - I thought he was our best player. I was at a loss to understand why he was substituted. Wellens - 3.5 - Utter tripe. King - 5.5 - Did his usual hibernation act in games like this. Was he on the pitch? Dyer - 6 - Started brightly on the left but then switched to the right where he was completely ineffective and strangely isolated. Waghorn - 5.5 - Wasted in the position he played. I lost count of the number of times he ran back into our half to retrieve the ball. Fryatt - 5 - Totally out of his depth up on his own. He's not aggressive enough to play the position on his own as I said yesterday. His quality at this level is also questionable. Harsh, but true. Subs: Gallagher - 5 - Ineffective. Howard - 6.5 - Made an immediate impact but was elbowed in the face for his efforts. This was swiftly followed by a mauling in the box. Two penalties - neither awarded. The referee - 0 - Disgrace. The fact that Warnock only jumped up and down at his decisions with about 10 minutes to go shows how biased he was. If he had been on the receiving end, he'd have ended up being retired to the stands long before the end of the first half. Sousa - 3 - No answer to an opposition determined to win through bullying tactics and a lack of footballing skill. We need a response to this. Warnock - 0 - Is still an idiot. Typical non-footballing display from his team who set out to ruin the game and succeeded.
bigneville Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 All these ratings for players of 3 & 4 are an absolute joke. No player had that bad a game today. I'm sure many of you out there would have given these players 6 & 7's if we had scored a penalty when it was 1-0 and drew the game. Ikeme - 5 - Looked uncomfortable with any ball into the box. Installs no confidence into this back line, and his kicking. Truely poor. Neilson - 5.5 - Not great, and looked really nervous against the pacey winger Ephraim. Tried to get forward well, but often ran down closed corridors. Hobbs - 8 - A superb individual performance, lead the back line very well. He didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Morrison - 6.5 - Defended well. Got skinned completely for the second goal, but him and JH are developing a very useful partnership. He could really do with a confident keeper behind him. Berner - 6 - Not his best day today. Wasteful with the ball, and was unusually caught of position on a couple of occasions. One he will probably won't to forget. Wellens - 5 - Not his day today. He battled hard, but didn't have the positive impact he would have liked. Oakley - 5 - Missing for long parts, wasteful with possesion. King - 5 - As Oakley, went missing for long parts, and didn't really have the chance to affect the game. Dyer - 5.5 - Apart from a lively first 5 minutes, was starved of the ball, and made no impact. Fryatt - 6 - Wasn't his fault for the lack of service, the only time the ball came near him was from the long boot of Ikeme. Tried, but was never going to be his day today. Waghorn - 5.5 - Trying too hard to impress still. We all know he is good enough, he just needs to relax, and let his football do the talking. Making bad decisions with the ball on too many occasions. Subs Gallacher - 6 - Got involved, and tried to make things happen without any major success. At least he wasn't afraid to put a shot on the goal. Howard - 7 - Started to cause them problems, and should have had a penalty. Worked hard, but was never given any really decent service.
i hate cov Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 It really does make me laugh how people slate Morrison, I thought he was probably one of our best players today. Ikeme was just as much to blame as Morro for the 2nd goal cause he started to come out then stop, and Hobbs was near the halfway line when they scored. At least Morrison wins stuff in the air, I don't think I have seen Hobbs win one ball all season straight from the air, he either gets Morrison to do it for him or let's it bounce first before he attempts to head it, but some of you are so far up his arse you can't spot errors in their game, along with the likes of King, who was anonymous for the majority of the match, but cause he has scored a few goals this year he can't do anything wrong at the minute. People either slate Oakley or Neilson cause they are easy targets, even though they have been 2 of our best performers this year. Are you blind?
Candidcamera Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 The final ball is missing - what can the strikers do ? Ikeme 4 Neilson 4 Morrison 5 Hobbs 7 Berner5 Oakley 7 Wellens 7 King 6 Dyer 4 Waghorn 5 Fryatt 6 Dyer did not make one final pass count and Neilson was awful. The time wasting ruined the second half truly a poor ref.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Bigneville, wether people score from 4 or 6 it doesn't matter, its all a base rate from which you judge. Some of us have a lower base opinion of the general play today, but we all seem to be pretty close to agreement on where we were lacking.
hackneyfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 I didn't go today but I said the other day that this game would show whether Morrison & Hobbs are a decent partnership or not. Quite clearly they aren't.
Narborough_fox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 I didn't go today but I said the other day that this game would show whether Morrison & Hobbs are a decent partnership or not. Quite clearly they aren't. Quite clearly they are, they were the 2 stand out performers in my eyes.
LCFC-Sam Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme 4 - Didn't have much to do, goals weren't really his fault, but distribution was very poor Neilson 4 - Not even close to how good hes been playing this season, very dissapointing Hobbs 7 - Still don't feel he's recaptured his from of last seasn, although he was better in the second half and relatively solid througout the game Morrison 6 - Solid enough game i felt, but was at fault for the second goal Berner 6 - Again i don't feel he's a good as last season, a few sloppy passes in the second half and getting better Wellens 2 - Very, very poor, played well against cardiff, but back to his normal self today, sloppy passes, long balls going nowhere ... Oakley 5 - Not his biggest fan, but he had an okay game today, still don't think he should be captain, or in the starting 11 King 5.5 - Tried his best i felt, but couldn't get anything going today really, not his best performance of the season ... Dyer 5.5 - Had a good first 5mins or so, but then switched sides with waghorn and was very quiet, don't think he sould have been subbed though Fryatt 3 - Would love to see him win some headers for once, didn't contribute anything to the performance, should have started on the bench Waghorn 5.5 - Very quiet for the whole match, didn't have many chances to de fair to him, should have played alongside fryatt/howard not in midfield! Subs: Howard 5.5 - Should have started the game, when he did come on he worked his pants off! but again a poor performance compared to cardiff Gallagher 5 - Contributed as soon as he came on, shot from distance a few time but nothing special, would like to see him play more
caz05 Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Fryatt worked his sodding socks off! Up there on his own, i'm sure Waghorn & Dyer were meant to be Strikers when attacking but they were none existant IMO. Yes, Matty won nothing in the air but at least he tried. He ran everything down and made it hard work for QPRs defence, and they ended up just pumping it up and Hobbs & Morrison ended up dealing with it. In my opinion, playing one up-front is a terrible tactic and whoever plays there will be slated because they have to do everything on their own so i'd cut him abit of slack.
stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Who ever gave Fryatt 9 is having a laugh or a member of his big fan club!!!
Bettsj2 Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme 4 - Awful goalkeeper Nielson 6 - Supported when he could but was pinned back with no support from the midfield Morrison 4 - Didn't cover himself in glory today. All the calls for him to be restored to the starting line up didnt look justified today Hobbs 6 - Good but not great Berner 5 - Off the pace and didnt support the midfield enough Oakley 4 - All the good things gone again Wellens 5 - Crap passing but at least he looked like he gave a dam King 2 - You wouldnt have known he was playing Waghorn 3 - Innefective Dyer 3 - Ditto Fryatt 0 - Some have praised him today but I just didnt see it. Looked completely uninterested and didnt do any of the things that Howard did so well on Tuesday linking the front 3
stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Betts I applaud your rating of Fryatt!!! Finally someone who does not kiss his arse
bigneville Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Bigneville, wether people score from 4 or 6 it doesn't matter, its all a base rate from which you judge. Some of us have a lower base opinion of the general play today, but we all seem to be pretty close to agreement on where we were lacking. The problem is that todays game wasn't the worst performance of the season, yet somehow it has brought the worst marks. To give a rating of 2 or 3, a player surely must have made several key mistakes that cost us the game.
stivesfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Fryatt over rated wasn't bad performance nice football that idiot upfront gave nothing, wellens ok but rather yuki next game. Hearing fans think Fryatt is good embarrass me do we all watch same player sorry new striker to play this style is needed.fryatts time is up though so many people think he is good suggest they change sport n go tigers
STUHILL Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Fryatt over rated wasn't bad performance nice football that idiot upfront gave nothing, wellens ok but rather yuki next game. Hearing fans think Fryatt is good embarrass me do we all watch same player sorry new striker to play this style is needed.fryatts time is up though so many people think he is good suggest they change sport n go tigers haha you aren't holding back on Fryatt. He had a poor game but I think you are over reacting a bit. Did he sleep with your Mrs or something Seems personal...
maccfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme - 5 Neilson - 6.5 Hobbs - 9 Morrison - 7 Berner - 6.5 Waghorn - 7 Wellens - UTTER SHITE Oakley - 6.5 King - 7 Dyer - 8 Fryatt - 9 Turn it in???? Fryatt 9 and what on earth did he do to deserve that? had his head down the whole game looked liked he really didnt want to be there 9 ??? Hobbs 9??? 1st goal a free header in centre of pen area due to huge gap between him and Morro Dyer 8??? ok 1st half did nothing in second when switched sides No player deserves an 8 or 9 today Think u over-rated Wellens too
maccfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Ikeme - 4 - Long aimless kicks that QPR won all day and meant the ball was coming straight back didnt even look up before kicking on occasions Neilson - 6.5 still better than last yr crossing was poor today Hobbs - 6 Morrison 6- free header for 1st goal and cock up for second means neither centre half can rate higher Berner - 6. Waghorn - 5 not his fault hes a striker not a wide midfielder Wellens - UTTER SHITE should have been taken off gave it away far too often Oakley - 6. should have been Wellens that went off solid not spectacular King - 7 played so well off howard chance of repeat removed by strange team selection Dyer - 6 poor 2nd half Fryatt - 4 head down all game? low on confidence or not happy with not being 1st choice? Subs Howard - should have started we looked more of a threat when he came on Gallagher - unable to pass just looking for glory from several poor 30 yard shots Vitor - MAN OF THE MATCH simply because he did nothing wrong sitting on the bench
hackneyfox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 Quite clearly they are, they were the 2 stand out performers in my eyes. Well according to different posters on here they wee to blame for both of the goals. and Morrison is generally seen to have had a poor game. He was awful at palace. Co* & Cardiff don't count as neither side put him under any pressure. How many other games has he played? They've been found out and we need one new centre half quickly. We need a striker even quicker
Wdywd Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 As much as I praise the positivity, 2 9's and an 8 is probably a bit generous For what it's worth: Ikeme - 2 Flapped twice, distribution dreadful Neilson - 5 Solid enough, really not convinced by him in possession, too easily pressured, but decent defensively Hobbs - 7 A couple of misjudgements, but generally seems to be back to something like last years form Morrison - 4 Thought he was playing well til the mental moment at the end. Think they could form a solid defensive partnership if he cuts out his mistakes Berner - 5 Decent without being that good, seems to get ignored a lot when overlapping into space. Couple of stupid tackles Oakley - 4 Fairly anonymous. He's good in a purely defensive sense, but not good enough a passer for that position Wellens - 3 Probably his worst game for Leicester, really struggles when pressured constantly cos he needs time on the ball King - 4 Couple of decent runs where he needed the final ball to be right and it wasn't. Other than that, hardly did anything Waghorn - 4 He & Dyer were supposed to be the outlets, but kept coming far too central and gave the midfield no options. He also gets frustrated too easily, as shown by the crazy tackle he got booked for Dyer - 2 Started brightly, after that he was really poor. Did absolutely nothing beyond the 10th minute, and was rightly hooked for Gallagher Fryatt - 4 Terrible service, but on the rare occasion he got the ball in a decent area, let himself down with either his touch, or wanting too long on the ball Subs: Gallagher - 5 Injected at least a bit of spark into the side, but mostly this was in the form of shots from miles out Howard - 6 Looked more of a threat than any other attacking player, but that's almost a damning indictment of how we played. Almost created a goal with his first touch
cityfan94 Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 ikeme - 4 id rather play logan, ikeme is terrible Neilson - 6 hobbs - 8 morrison - 7.5 berner - 5.5 oakley - 6.5 wellens - 3 king - 5 dyer - 6 waghorn - 5.5 fryatt - 6
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Ikeme 4 - Weale is badly missed. Neilson 5 - Poor game by his standards this season, but then the same can be said for other players. Hobbs 5 Morrison 5 - Looked tired for the second goal. Berner 5 Wellens 5 - Silly passes, gave the ball away a lot too. Oakley 5 King 6 Dyer 6 - Wrongly taken off IMO, was doing well on the left, but then foolishly placed on the right. Fryatt 5 - Another poor game, but possibly due to the system. Waghorn 5 - Did nothing at all really, but he isnt a winger. Subs: Howard 6.5 - Should have started Gallagher 3 - Nothing to comment on!
tomtom Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 I didn't go today but I said the other day that this game would show whether Morrison & Hobbs are a decent partnership or not. Quite clearly they aren't. How can you judge them if you didn't even go the game ??
