Matt Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 C'mon what crackpot is going to support Sousa and come out with this cracker of a quote?
Ozwin Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Clearly it's not working, he's had a whole summer and 8 games and we look worse than we ever have. Ugh.
Dylan Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Only 8 games in, thats the point. Get him out so we can still turn our season around!
Guest ttfn Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Yeah but we've had AL;L the possession, 8 million shots and the best dressed manager so we are the best team. It's got nothing to do with goals or winning, idiot.
dandannieldanok Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I wouldn't wish our fans on any manager.
Adel Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Only 5 goals conceded to Portsmouth. Hey ho. Make that 6.
Matt Posted 24 September 2010 Author Posted 24 September 2010 We're all going on a League One tour, League One tour, League One tour. Damn it! I knew I should have bought a batch of those League One Tour shirts, I could have sold them outside the ground, just crossed through a few clubs and added a few more.
Yojoe36 Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Hey hey, is this a joke. That's the point 8 games and it's already religation. I don't mind playing Hudderfield again
Guest ttfn Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I wouldn't wish our fans on any manager. How self-righteous can you get?
dandannieldanok Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 How self-righteous can you get? Quite a bit more if you like. Some appalling reactions towards Sousa, not only after tonight but pretty much before a ball was even kicked this season. What chance has any manager got if the fans won't have any patience?

Patience is a virtue if there's promise. It's funny, I almost always agree with you - you're a genuinely balanced and thoughtful poster, but today we were total dross. We have won one game in 8 (EIGHT). Sousa has taken a very good Championship side and moulded it into a woeful side. I might have some sort of sympathy for your opinion if it wasn't for one thing. We're getting WORSE.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 8 games gone, won one, drawn two. Not good enough. I would give managers time to turn it around, but we are in the bottom three and shit. Something has to change and quickly, or he should go.
Babylon Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I might have some sort of sympathy for your opinion if it wasn't for one thing. We're getting WORSE. Technically not... we've picked up more points from the last 4 than the first 4. We're on the up
Corky Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 We're doing well in the Carling Cup at least.

He's got to go.

Chairmen of football clubs do not sack managers on results after 5 games (unless they are absolute batterings), there is usually something else going on if that happens. Ask any ex player, chairman, board member, in fact anyone with a level headed view. They will say you HAVE to give a manager time to try and get things right. There have been some positives, but the negatives are starting to weigh heavy. The nature of the loss tonight will have done a lot of damage, and I think that may have sealed Sousas fate because the players are going to be at rock bottom now. I think he will get one more game to see if he can pick them up and then it will be the elbow.
FrankieADZ Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 getting to the view where a change is needed tbf, someone with a bit more knowledge of this level of football.

I'm saying that the doubts after 5 games have been confirmed after 8. Time to go Paulo.

Oh we were dross, I totally agree with that. But we were dross in two successive games under Pearson last season. Teams can always put in a dross performance now and again. It's nothing shocking, it happens, you just got to take the hit and carry on. We need to give the guy longer. People are forgetting two things: 1) There's no decent replacement out there, we would seriously be contemplating a Dowie-type candidate 2) Dicking around with managers never helps - does anyone remember the infamous 07/08 season? I'm not necessarily defending our start to the season, it's been poor. But first of all the players have to take responsibility as well as the manager. Second of all we need patience, look at Roy Keane last season, they were rock bottom for ages, winless for ages, but the Ipswich board stuck by him and look where they are now. The trouble with our fans is that we're far too impatient, and the majority seem to believe we have a divine right to be successful.
