Anyone else heard Sousa got fired?

Good question when you can't explain clearly what you mean

I've explained it perfectly clearly here:

Before this season:

2006-07: games 32, goals 3

2007-08: games 29, goals 2

2009-10: games 31, goals 12

Total: 92 games, goals 17

1 goal every 5.4 games

I've only included Championship games and goals in those figures.

But his strike rate has IMPROVED. Under Pearson, last season, in the Championship, it was better than 1 in 3.

Again I ask, who would you replace him with?

Posted

You're saying he had scored 23 goals for Leicester before the start of this season?

Firstly, not true.

Secondly, his goals to games ratio has improved since Pearson came to the club and YES that's in the Championship as well.

His strike rate was 1 in 3 last season

Yes in the Championship. 23 goals in 110 games. That is a ratio of 1 goal every 5 games at this level.

Not a particularly good statistic for all Fryatt lovers and his buddy Steve Howard is at 1 goal every 6 games, great return for £1m

You can see why those that don't believe in blind loyalty might not rate him all that highly.

At least someone understands!

He did play for half of the 05/06 season as well, 18(+1 sub) apps and 6 goals

He missed half a season and before his injury had scored something like one goal in 12 games.

The jury is still out for me.

As I've said, if you take last season, when he was playing with confidence, and had a good team around him (not the shit we got relegated with) he had a strike rate better tha 1 in 3.

Funny you should mention blind loyalty, you're the **** who's sticking by Mandaric and Sousa

I'm the what?

Just so we get you back in to the real world and out of your little bubble, I detest Mandaric, but as a grown up who understands business you can not fault what he has done. As a supporter of Leicester City it is completely different feeling. I suppose it will come with maturity, but one day you will learn to seperate the two.

As for Sousa I would love for him to succeed his football philosophy is spot on, but it is very unlikely and what went on Friday night has seen him lose my support, that may of course change tonight if I see significant improvements.

NEWSFLASH: I am not Mandaric or his family, I am a LEICESTER CITY SUPPORTER. I am not looking at this from a business point of view. I want the best for Leicester City, not Mandaric. You could argue that Mandari has done shrewd business for himself, but from a Leicester City point of view he's fooked us up. We were doing well last season, this season we are shit.

Do you engage your brain before posting? I am still waiting for you to tell what I am.

How had Madaric fooked us up, 8 games in to a season with 38 left, plus a home League Cup tie and the FA Cup?

I think you know what I called you, it's probably the only word that comes up as 4 stars instead of what I actually typed in.

If you can't see how bad we are now then I don't think I can explain it. We are bottom and looking awful. I'm sure you've read many of the comments on here explaining why we are shit. Can't you just read them?

Such a big man, because you lack the intelligence to debate you have to use crude insults in an attempt to raise your self esteem.

Pitiful.

Not really, I've successfully argued with everything you've said. That was a response to you accusing me of blind loyalty, and not knowing anything about football, seems you began the pitiful comments because you are in fact wrong.

You keep telling yourself that, but you might want to go back a page and reassess :crylaugh:

These stats are misleading. How many of the 2006-2008 games did Fryatt start and how many did he come on for the last few minutes?

Also you have averaged in his goal scoring record as an inexperienced 20 year old and left out all the goals he scored in 2008-9

(apparently league 1 goals are totally meaningless).

Exactly. League 1 goals are not meaningless.

And, as I said, before Pearson, Fryatt was young and playing in a shit team which created little.

Considering we're playing (for now at least) in the Championship, surely it makes sense to look at his record at this level? Unless I'm crazy, that is.

Ideally I'd like to do it on a per minute basis, but I really haven't got the time to look over 92 games and see how much he played

True, but as I said, he has clearly improved since then. He is not going to be at his peak when he's 22 is he? Nor is he going to be when he's playing for Holoway's (or in fact Sousa's) team!
