eaststandtom Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 crazy. even by todays standards its far too early seen enough in the football to suggest sousa is onto something. clearly something wrong with the defence after friday to show that its leaky start isnt just a fluke. if players have the arse then they need to show more to get back in the team. i do think sousa has made a couple of poor decisions such as dropping king and hobbs, madness but i feel we can persevere for a few games. 2 wins would change things then we would have a confident team playing the football we have seen in glimpses this season under 10 games is not enough to show what could happen in the long term. just look at o'neill who actually spent as much money as sousa has and that was nealry 15 years ago
James. Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 If someone else compares Sousa to O'Neill then I'm going to start killing people.

Kilworthfox Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Anyone care to summarise this thread in a sentance so I don't have to trawl through 16 pages? Yeah don't bother reading it, its all complete bollocks
Babylon Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Yeah don't bother reading it, its all complete bollocks Ha... I was going to put in that post, please don't just say "load of bollocks".
ramboacdc Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 am i the only person in the world that doesnt rate pardew? it seems like it by the look of the boards. hes good yeah but the sun doesnt rise and set with him.
Stevosevic Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 am i the only person in the world that doesnt rate pardew? it seems like it by the look of the boards. hes good yeah but the sun doesnt rise and set with him. I don't rate him, i would back him if he came here but his record since leaving West Ham is poor IMO.
skinnydipper Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Anyone care to summarise this thread in a sentance so I don't have to trawl through 16 pages? Lots of excited schoolboys being allowed to stay up too late on a Sunday evening rather than going to bed at an appropriate time.
MPH Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Anyone care to summarise this thread in a sentance so I don't have to trawl through 16 pages? Couple of posters claiming he is gone. Burt says board losing patience and he has 2 games max to save his neck
Jakemoore Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Please do when it is BS. If only you knew.......
kimsalabim Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Pardew, I like. To be honest, Pardew did well at west ham, but we need someone who has not failed. Even if that means bringing in someone with little experience (remember np) And before anyone starts i know soton got rid of np but he was only a caretaker anyway. We need someone that has the enthusiasm to come in and drag the club up off its arse. Not someone who was good 4 years ago but looked like he hasnt had the heart for it since West Ham booted him. Dickov anyone?
surrifox Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Yeah don't bother reading it, its all complete bollocks excellent - just what I wanted to ask. I like the idea of a "bollocks filter" on new threads which look out of control
Fox92 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Don't think sacking Sousa would be the ideal thing to do, it's still quite early yet. There are other manager that have been given time, and know look at them and where they sit in the league. I find it abit ridiculas if the '2 games to save his job' post is true. We'll loose to Norwich anyway, but I can't see what sacking him now actually resolves.
Babylon Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 I like the idea of a "bollocks filter" on new threads which look out of control There would only be about 4 thread and 20 posts left on the forum if you had one of them.
Kitchandro Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 If someone else compares Sousa to O'Neill then I'm going to start killing people. Well said, it's a ludicrous comparison
Jackirius Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 If only you knew....... Ohhh playing it a bit mysterious now are we. What Bullshite was it that you said anyway?
ozleicester Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 To save a whole lot of time, couldnt a mod just add... "NO, coz he didnt" under the topic title.
yorksfox Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Why all this 'We'll lose to Norwich anyway, but he needs more games to prove himself." Norwich were in L1 last year and are supposedly finding their feet in the Championship. The guy clearly has to go, the writing was on the wall after the first half defensive performance against Palace. Already the stars of last season - Hobbs, Wellens, King and Fryatt are a shadow of their former selves. Get rid quick and let's start our season.
Babylon Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Hobbs, Wellens, King and Fryatt are a shadow of their former selves. Hobbs - Fair enough King - Err he's been good this year. Wellens - As inconsistent as ever. Fryatt - Maybe, but have people forgotten the run of about 10 games he didn't score in before his injury.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Why is this thread still going? Thought it would have died about 5 pages ago.
MikeyT Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Leicester-manager-Paulo-Sousa-is-on-the-brink-of-the-sack-with-Milan-Mandaric-ready-to-replace-the-Portuguese-boss-article588669.html Paulo Sousa is scrapping to save his job at Leicester - just EIGHT games into the season. Sousa is on the brink of the sack at the Walkers Stadium, with rumours growing last night that he had been fired by Milan Mandaric. It is understood that Sousa will remain in charge for tomorrow night's trip to Norwich. But Foxes chairman Mandaric is ready to take action after the club's dreadful start to the season, with Alan Pardew's name already in the frame. Sousa has won only one game since his appointment in the summer, with the shocking 6-1 defeat to Portsmouth sending them spinning to the bottom of the Championship. The 40-year-old's methods have also come under fire from the squad, with at least two players understood to have slapped in transfer requests before the transfer window closed. Leicester were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by Cardiff last season but have only beaten the Bluebirds this term.

Well then, a so called journalist has simply used foxestalk as his source to post this story - I guess we should be flattered, but it tells us nothing new. Although, with the story now being 'out there' it makes it harder for a Chairman to ignore the possibility of pulling the trigger, especially considering Milan's twitchy fingers. The players will also see this story, so essentially Sousa's fate is in their hands - if there is a lack luster performance on Tuesday, i think that will tell you whether the players back him or not.
