howsyourfather Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 gary rowett, birmingham finished 9th last season and are currently sitting in 13th, how does this even itself out to 7th?
Jackirius Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Of course we're top 7. We were in the top 6 all of last season, except the last couple of weeks. And we haven't lost at home for over a year. I mean you may not like us, but at least be objective on these things. I look like a young Sousa actually. Got the neck-scarf and the coat too. Very swish. The scarf isnt meant to go round your head.
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 No your 13th in the table mate that what counts. League Table * Pos. Team Pl W D L +/- Pts 1 Chelsea 6 5 0 1 19 15 2 Manchester United 6 3 3 0 7 12 3 Arsenal 6 3 2 1 9 11 4 Manchester City 6 3 2 1 5 11 5 Aston Villa 6 3 1 2 -2 10 6 West Bromwich Albion 6 3 1 2 -3 10 7 Fulham 6 1 5 0 1 8 8 Tottenham Hotspur 6 2 2 2 1 8 9 Blackburn Rovers 6 2 2 2 0 8 10 Newcastle United 6 2 1 3 1 7 11 Sunderland 6 1 4 1 0 7 12 Bolton Wanderers 6 1 4 1 -1 7 13 Birmingham City 6 1 4 1 -1 7 14 Stoke City 6 2 1 3 -2 7 15 Blackpool 6 2 1 3 -5 7 16 Liverpool 6 1 3 2 -3 6 17 Wolverhampton Wanderers 6 1 2 3 -3 5 18 Wigan Athletic 6 1 2 3 -11 5 19 West Ham United 6 1 1 4 -9 4 20 Everton 6 0 3 3 -3 3 Yeh but here in god's country, Birmingham, we know that the season is longer than 6 games. Unlike Leicester of course.
Cropwellfox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 This year's Leicester are a great side who have struggled from disgusting ref decisions. This year's Leicester are a collection of decent, with a couple of premier league quality players, who together are currently a poor side, who have completely lost their defensive ability, who have learned to play some lovely passing triangles..... 90% of the time in the middle third of the field where our opponents are happy to let us get on with it, and who have not managed to convert 1 out of around 70 corners so far this season. We've had more than our share of bad decisions, but to be fair there's not much great there
themotivator Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 our club is mental. dont think the whole sousa situation was handled well at all. i definitely think he needed more time to start winning games, but it seems he may have split the dressingroom. would have loved pearson to stay... he didn't. would of liked sousa to turn things around, but what the fook can we do now but sing for sven and the boys? COMON CITY! :scarf: :scarf: ..oh and Good luck to Chrissy P tomorrow. i hope he gets a lot of support, he deserves it!
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 gary rowett, birmingham finished 9th last season and are currently sitting in 13th, how does this even itself out to 7th? Everton are bottom of the prem. Are they the worst side in the prem?
Jackirius Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Everton are bottom of the prem. Are they the worst side in the prem? We are bottom of the championship. Are we the worst side in the championship?
Koke Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 What is a Small Heath fan doing on here anyway? We got nothing in common. Go away.
Jaspa Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Everton are bottom of the prem. Are they the worst side in the prem? No because Birmingham are you disabled
buzzy Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 i suggest that you just , "keep right on to the end of the road" then i suggest that gary rowett is talking more sense than most of the muppets on this forum
Lord Fox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Yeh but here in god's country, Birmingham, we know that the season is longer than 6 games. Unlike Leicester of course. Ha Ha. come on you can do better that that - Hey, haven't you got Birmingham City forum you could post on? we're bored of you now
howsyourfather Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Yeh but here in god's country, Birmingham, we know that the season is longer than 6 games. Unlike Leicester of course. yes ok, but explain how 9th last season, 13 points off seventh means you're a top 7 side. the numbers just don't add up
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 We didn't finish bottom last year, and we're not bottom currently, so we're not the worst team in the prem by a long shot. It's a shame that this thread is descending into hate. I only ever came over here to support Sousa and offer the hand of friendship. But you bit the hand, just like you bit Sousa. What a violent bunch!
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 yes ok, but explain how 9th last season, 13 points off seventh means you're a top 7 side. the numbers just don't add up Well 9th isn't far off 7th is it?
wurmer Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 i suggest that gary rowett is talking more sense than most of the muppets on this forum 90% of your posts tonight have been brainless slagging off, so I assume you are counting yourself in the muppet collection.
howsyourfather Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Well 9th isn't far off 7th is it? no, but the most important thing here is that it isn't 7th, which ultimately proves what you were saying was wrong
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Buzzy, don't worry mate. Im sure the majority of Leicester fans are sad that Sousa wasn't given more of a chance and realise that he had shocking luck against Portsmouth, Watford last week and in the QPR game. They can see that the performances were there, and with a bit more time, and some investment, Leicester could have become a decent side. Roy Keane took over Sunderland and they were in the bottom 3 until Christmas. They then went on to win the league.
Jackirius Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 We didn't finish bottom last year, and we're not bottom currently, so we're not the worst team in the prem by a long shot. What a violent bunch! Do you want a fight about that?
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 no, but the most important thing here is that it isn't 7th, which ultimately proves what you were saying was wrong Erm. The thing is, we were in the top 7 all season though, expect till the very death and we sunk to 9th. I'd put us as joint 7th best. Sometimes the league doesn't truly reflect the quality of the teams. A decent side might be hit with injuries to key players; they may get some outrageous red card decisions go against them; they may be hit by uncertainty in the boardroom. And yet a poorer side might fluke a few results, have boardroom stability, and get lucky with injuries and finish higher. Doesn't make them a better side. Just means they had a good year.
Gary Rowett Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 Watford? piss off. Another stupid handball and a bizarre Fryatt sending off cost you. NOT Sousa.
Lord Fox Posted 1 October 2010 Posted 1 October 2010 We didn't finish bottom last year, and we're not bottom currently, so we're not the worst team in the prem by a long shot. What a violent bunch! Fine - wait until he get's a another club ( and I hope he does ) then join their forum and support him there - 'News Flash' he's not our manager anymore !....the end.
