Chimp Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 I think you're on to something here, Chimp. That shade of blue is much better. 114502 Yeah, I much prefer it. ph34r my madz paint skillz, ... I tried squaring off the stripes as well but it really did end up looking like a pack of Regal...
Cat Burger Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 Yeah It's ok I don't like the rounding off of the stripes like Ricey said, I'll probably buy it when I have some money spare in the summer. Look at Stearman he looks like a scruffy kid, his shirt is half tucked out and one of his socks is not pulled up properly
FNQ Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 It is OK. Personally I think we should always play in the blue kit where there isn't a clash.
Ricey Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 Just been messing around with the stripes and the colours for the socks and shorts.
Bert Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 Just been messing around with the stripes and the colours for the socks and shorts. 114583 The stripes look much better like that!! not sure about the socks at the minute though, and the shorts don't look too bad!! good job Ricey!
Newcastle_Fox Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 I quite like the kit, may purchase it if it is on a two year cycle.
Louise Posted 25 May 2005 Author Posted 25 May 2005 They've re-posted the article on the OS to remove the confusion. It is a 2-year cycle Leicester City today revealed their new look away kit for the next two seasons. The JJB designed kit features a white shirt with black and pale blue sash, black shorts and black socks and is a new variation on the black and pale blue colour scheme adopted by Leicester Fosse way back in 1884. The strip will be worn by the club throughout next season and the 2006-07 campaign. Club captain Danny Tiatto was the first player to model the new kit - which will be available to pre-order soon on the club's official website. Retail manager Ben Swift said: "Our black away kit for the past two seasons, based on the club's 1884 strip, was extremely popular with supporters. "Many of our fans had expressed a preference for a white kit so we have incorporated a white shirt into the design that continues to use the black and Cambridge blue colours that have proved so popular. "This is another extremely well constructed and very high quality kit from JJB which we are sure will be a big hit." The kit will be priced exactly the same as City's popular new blue home strip - which operates on a one-year cycle - with adult shirts costing £35 and junior shirts £25. Given that City's first choice kit is blue, there will be occasions when the club will need to wear a third choice strip. A new limited edition two-year cycle third kit will be officially launched by the club in July. link And removed Stearman and Joey for some reason:
Foxes_Trust Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 After feeding back to the club the results of our membership survey following the launch of the new home kit and after numerous conversations between the Foxes Trust and Tim Davies around this subject, we're delighted the club appear to have listened to the overwhelming call for a return to a white away shirt and also for the reintroduction of a two year cycle for both the new away shirt and the forthcoming third strip.
Kingy Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 I think it looks pretty nice  114244 Do I not Like that !
Louise Posted 25 May 2005 Author Posted 25 May 2005 A lot of people (including myself) didn't like the Thunderbirds kit when it first came out, but when the players were playing in it it looked good, so lets just see what it looks like on the pitch...
Matt Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 i like it, but it does remind me of this one: 114469 don't get me wrong I quite like our new away shirt but that chelsea shirt is much nicer! The club listened to "our voice" aka Foxes Trust... How about them listening to fans when a hell of alot of us want Horny Henry gone?!?!?
City Fan Posted 25 May 2005 Posted 25 May 2005 First kit in ages where I can actually say I REALLY like it......

They are afterall making a product for the fans to buy so it makes sense to listen and take note of what the consumer wants. If the club ask the fans what they want and then produce it for them at a reasonable price and on a two year cycle then everyone should be happy.

henry's best mate Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 would look good with white socks, with black shorts and socks, i think that it looks tacky
lcfc true blue josh 18 Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 who likes the new lcfc away shirt, personally i fink that its class and i gunna buy it instead of the home one
lcfcwill Posted 29 May 2005 Posted 29 May 2005 the forthcoming third strip. 114675 Throw a spanner in the works, I was in JJB fosse park yesterday and there was an all black shirt but players style rather than goalies (which there was aswell but same design). There was a black trainig shirt next to it but this was made by JJB and had the A&L advertisment on so looked just like the kit. I recon it must be the third kit.

Cat Burger Posted 30 May 2005 Posted 30 May 2005 Just been messing around with the stripes and the colours for the socks and shorts. 114583 Absolute quality Ricey, why they feltl they had to make the stripes curved I'll never know.
Blue Arrow Posted 26 June 2005 Posted 26 June 2005 I think the stripes should got right under the sponser, I'd make it if i could.
rossporterlc Posted 27 June 2005 Posted 27 June 2005 i can no longer take the p^ss out of man u fans about their kits coming out so often, we're just as bad if not worse!
