We can't keep making fitness an excuse for Vassel. We signed him over a month ago and he's played 6 games for us. He needs to start showing now why he's in the team ahead of Dyer.

I'd like to agree but from what I can see he is still not fit enough. I offer no explanation other than what I see each game, he still plays in 'bursts' with periods of inactivity and he still does not look sharp enough with the ball at his feet.

Dyer remains something of an enigma, ocassionaly unplayable, sometimes totally ineffective. Personally I feel he often plays too deep, needs to play as a striker starting wide and attacking the box, one of our few players who pose a genuine goal threat.

Should we be asking when he's going to look fit then? Is this going to take 10, 12, 15 games? Because eventually you're close to 1/3 of a season.

I'm of a similar opinion regarding other matters as well ie. Jack Hobbs' apparent inability to play LCB due to its foreign nature. These guys are professional footballers and at some point I personally need to draw a line on what I should expect from them as a fan.

Vassell has all manor of experiences at different levels and granted he had a nightmare in turkey and being such a professional, I expect him to at some point play football to the best of his ability. But in every circumstance someone seems to pipe up with an excuse for different players not performing. (He's not match fit, he's still settling in the area, he's had a lot of managers, he's a confidence player, he's under a lot of pressure, BLAH BLAH BLAH).

Needless to say, we expect him to chip in with a fair few goals this season but if he doesn't start soon there comes a point where you have to forget the 'match fit' tune and ask if he's just another average signing and a player who could be forgiven for having deteriorated.

A few cases of mediocre player syndrome aside, feeling quite positive for today; home forms good, attendance looking like it'll be slightly elevated. Fancy a few more Cunningham inswingers finally causing trouble at set-pieces and the back four to prove last week was just a blip. If Kirkland is just passed fit think i'd still get him in ahead of Weale, lost all confidence in him in recent weeks. Don't think we'll see too many changes, Sven's never been much of a tinkerman. Fingers crossed for 3 forwards names on the scoresheet :trumpet:

Signing a new 2 year contract a few months ago means nothing these days though!

On a side note, anyones Foxes Player working yet?

Player usually up for me by 2:15. Unusually tardy this afternoon. And for some reason the build-up is blocked on BBC Leicester live stream too.

Not yet another 10 mins I would think

Radio bloody Leicester on the internet is blocked, Tigers commentary probably.

iPlayer usually comes on in time for the kick off, if you're lucky...<_<

Family matters mean I can not get to todays game, bummer..., Stringer then unless there is any chance of a stream.
